86. (Twilight) Seth Clearwater -Soul Mate

"Babe, if you want to go on this trip, I want you to go on this trip. You don't have to be with me every single day." Jacob had asked your boyfriend Seth if he wanted to go on a little 'hunting trip'. It was a wolf thing. But Seth had turned it down because he felt like he had to protect you every minute of every day.

It was a wolf thing.

"What if I leave and something happens?"

"Nessie and I agreed on spending the weekend together. I'm a witch. She's a vampire hybrid. I'm sure we can handle ourselves, babe." You reassured him. At the moment, you were sorting through your brewing components. You were making a draught of Everlight, something to help make a protective barrier, should you need one. But you wouldn't.

"I don't know..."

"Seth, look at me." You turned away from your ingredients and took his face in your hands. "We're soulmates. I'm your imprint. No matter how far you go, no matter where either of us is, I will always love you, and I will always find you. I promise."

"Okay..." He whispered, resting his forehead against yours. "I love you too. And I'll be careful, I promise."

"Good."

"I'll call Jacob then."

"Okay, does he not look like Seth though?" You asked. Renesmee had come over to watch some movies and spend the night. The two of you were currently watching the Descendants movies.

"Maybe if he grew out his hair a little."

"Yeah, I feel." You nodded.

"I think they trim it for a wolf thing, though."

"Oh, you're right."

"I think we're out of popcorn," Renesmee said. You got up off of the couch and went to the kitchen to throw another bag in the microwave. Before long, you returned. Nessie was staring out the window. "What do you think they're doing out there?"

You were quiet for a second as a mischievous smile crept across your face.

"Do you want to find out?"

"Sure, why not?"

You walked over to the closet by the door and pulled out a broom. Renesmee's face lit up at the sight of it.

"I thought you were going to pull out a crystal ball or something, but this is way better."

As soon as you let go of the broom, it hovered in front of you, a few feet off of the floor. You pushed open the windows and swung a leg over, patting the seat behind you.

"Hop on." Renesmee walked over and sat behind you, her arms wrapping around your waist. "Hold on tight."

"Gotcha." She nodded, taking an excited breath. You closed your eyes and willed it into the sky, and so it flew, out the window and into the open air, high above Forks and the woods below.

You searched the trees for two large wolves, but you didn't see anything.

"Do you see them?"

"No," Renesmee replied. Even with her enhanced vampire sight, she couldn't make out their forms. The two of you flew around for a while longer before finally giving up and returning to your house. They must have gone farther than you expected.

You both settled back onto the couch and popped in another movie. You didn't want to admit it, but maybe this trip was going to seem longer than you suspected it would. Seth had only been gone for one night, and you were already starting to miss him.

It was a week later when a large tan wolf walked out of the woods. You smiled softly, approaching him slowly. You didn't know how, but you knew it was Seth. It had to be, right? What other wolf is that freaking big?

"Holy shit, you're huge." You whispered. You raised a hand to feel the fur on his head. He closed his eyes and nuzzled against you, letting a content rumble from his throat. When you touched him, you could feel something tugging at you inside. You gave into the feeling, pushing, listening. And then.

<I missed you.>

"I missed you too."

<How did you know I->

"I think I tapped into your wolf telepathy on accident."

<Oh. Alright. Did you behave while I was gone?>

"Yep. Renesme and I had a movie night or two. Got some potions done."

<That's good.>

"Did you have fun?"

<Yeah. I did. My clothes are stashed behind those trees. I'll be right back.>

"Okay."

He walked off behind the trees. You couldn't get over how big he was in that form. He was the size of a horse. Bigger, even. And yet, when he emerged from the woods, he was your Seth again. Larger than the average guy, sure, but not a gigantic horse-sized wolf anymore.

You practically ran into his arms. He held you tight, spinning you around.

"It's weird to be on two legs." He whispered, holding onto you even tighter as he said it. As though he was afraid he would slip away. "God, I missed you."

"I missed you too, babe." You kissed his cheek and then his nose and then the corner of his lips and he laughed before pulling you in for a real kiss. A Seth kiss. The kind that took your breath away and filled your heart with fire. The kind that felt like magic.

"So, when are you gonna take me on a broom, huh?"

"You saw us?"

"I was pretty sure it was you two. I mean, who else in Forks would have access to one of those things anyway?" He laughed. "Let's go inside. I need to hold you if that's okay."

"I was thinking the same thing."

It was much later. The two of you were laying on the couch, Seth's strong arms wrapped around you protectively. He kissed the top of your head, warm lips lingering against your face.

"Seth?"

"Hmm?"

"Let's go on an adventure." You whispered.

"What do you-?"

"You said you wanted to ride a broom, right? Let's do it." You said.

"Well, I was kidding, but-"

You pulled Seth off of the couch and led him over to the closet in front of the door. You pulled out your broom and let it hover in the air in front of the two of you. Seth gripped your hand, and he swore he could feel your warm tingling magic bleeding into him, filling him with a passionate fire. He was in love with a witch, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

Not long after, the two of you were flying off into the star-filled sky, Seth's arms tight around your waist, the wind flowing through your hair. And off you flew, a witch and her soulmate, on your way to whatever adventure the fates had in store.
