"Mommy! Dimey won't stop crying!" Thread shouted from her room.

The 9 month old had woken from his nap, and let's just say he did not wake up on the right side of the bed.

Needle started running upstairs, "I'm coming to get him, Thread. Just give me a sec."

Needle made it to Dimeys room and scooped the crying baby up in her arms, "Someone woke up a little fussy from their nap it seems."

Dimey continued to cry, as Needle cradled him down the stairs.

Needle got out his bottle from the fridge, "does someone want some milk?"

Dimey would usually get excited at the sight of a bottle, but the little one decided that he was not in the mood for a bottle on this particular day.

"No bottle?" Needle was baffled. She then found one of Dimey's pacifier's and tried to put it in his mouth.

"Come on," Needle tried to cheer him on, "Don't you want it, Dime Dime?"

Dimey took his little baby arm and swiped it across Needle's face.

"You don't like nicknames?" Needle chuckled a little, "wonder who you got that from."

Dimey did not find any irony in the situation and continued to cry, making Needle visibility frustrated.

"Okay, ignore that," she said, trying to put on a smile. She took her hand, covered her eyes briefly, and then gasped as she removed her hand from her face, "Peekaboo! Peekaboo!"

Not even Peekaboo could calm this fussy baby down, and Needle was trying her best to stay calm during all of the crying. She would usually give the baby to Coiny or Pin, since sometimes a different parent would calm him down, but those two were out at the bakery, leaving Needle by herself.

Well, she wasn't quite alone. Eventually, Barf Bag and Donut started to get annoyed by all the crying. The two of them just wanted some peace and quiet after a rough day at work, but that's a lot to ask when living in a house with three children under the age of three.

The couple eventually made their way downstairs, trying to see what was going on. They quickly saw Needle, who was clearly in distress, with the crying Dimey in her arms.

"Guys," Needle said, "You have to help me. I'm gonna go crazy soon if he doesn't calm down."

Barf Bag quickly grew concerned at the state of both Needle and Dimey, "Okay, Okay, I can hold him, you look like you could use a break."

Barf Bag started going into doctor mode, feeling the top of his forehead and making sure the little guy wasn't getting sick, "He seems healthy to me, I wonder why he's so fussy today."

Needle rolled her eyes, "I've been wondering that myself, Barf Bag."

Barf Bag continued to cradle the baby, trying her best to calm him down, "It's okay Dimey, you're auntie Barf Bag is here for you!"

Donut chimed in, looking at the baby, "Maybe he needs a change of scenery?" Donut suggested, trying to think of a solution.

Barf Bag nodded. "Good idea. Let's take him outside for some fresh air."

Needle, relieved at the suggestion, followed Barf Bag and Donut as they took Dimey out into the backyard. The gentle breeze and the sound of birds chirping often had a calming effect on him.

"Look, Dimey, it's so nice outside," Needle cooed, pointing at the flowers in the garden. Dimey's cries began to soften as he was distracted by the new environment.

Barf Bag gently rocked him, pointing out different things in the yard. "See the flowers, Dimey? And there's a butterfly!"

Donut picked a small flower and handed it to Dimey, who momentarily stopped crying and reached out for it, his curiosity piqued. The adults sighed in relief as the baby's tears turned into soft sniffles.

"That was amazing you guys," Needle said, "Looks like you do have quite the parently instincts."

Barf Bag chuckled, "I guess so."

The two of them marveled at the small child. It wasn't long until they started remembering how close they were to this too, how close they were to having their own child in their arms.

Tears started to drip down Barf Bag's cheeks, as Donut wrapped his arm around her, thinking the same exact thing she was.

Needle looked over at the two in concern, "Are you guys okay? Do you want me to give you some space or..."

Donut sported a small smile, "No, it's okay. It's just we're still fresh from...the whole miscarriage is all."

Barf Bag added on, still cradling the now happy baby, "We've talked about trying again soon. Obviously we still want a baby more than anything."

Needle expression softened, "I'm still so sorry you guys had to go through that. We were all excited to welcome the next member to Team8s."

Barf Bag nodded, taking a deep breath. "Thank you, Needle. It means a lot to us. We're just taking it one day at a time."

Donut added, "We've been discussing it more lately, and we think we're ready to try again. It's still a bit scary, but we really want to expand our family."

Needle smiled warmly, "You both will make amazing parents, just look at what you've already done for Dimey. And when the time comes, we'll all be here to support you, just like you have for us and our children."

Barf Bag smiled, trying to hold back tears. She looked up at Donut, "I'm thinking it's time we try again, don't you?"

Donut smiled back, "I couldn't agree more."

...............................................

I love this chapter. Sure it's short, but it got done what it needed to get done. Anyway, sorry for being a day late. With the surgery I've been taking muscle relaxers before bed (those things make me sleepy), and made the mistake of taking one before I got the chance to upload this. Anyway, I should make up for it by uploading again tomorrow, but no promises!

Also NYC MEETUP IS IN A WEEK AHHHHHHH!!! I'm pretty sure that the entire voice crew of Team8s is going to be there, so that should be fun. Wonder if anyone going will know me from book (I doubt it but we can only hope).

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this chapter, and I'll see you in the next chapter!
