Pin and Coiny were in the kitchen, helping finish up dinner for the family. Needle during her lunch break had found a new recipe online for parmesan chicken, and suggested it to Pin to make for dinner tonight, which was to try and serve as an alternative for "chicken tender Tuesday".

"The kids are going to love this!" Coiny said, taking a whiff of the chicken as he took it out of the oven.

"I hope so." Pin said. "It's definitely more..."grown up style" food then I've given them in the past." Pin checked the dish to make sure it was ready, and then placed it down on the table. She saw Needle walking by, and asked her for a favor. "Needle! Can you call down everyone for dinner?"

Needle nodded. "EVERYONE, DINNER'S READY!" she shouted throughout the house, as all the kids, plus Saw and Gaty, made their way to the dinner table.

Coiny had given each of the kids a small portion of the chicken on their plates, and they all looked intrigued.

"What's this?" Thread asked, looking down at her dinner.

Needle smiled at her. "It's a new recipe I found, I thought it would be better then doing chicken tenders again.

Thread looked slightly disappointed. "But I like chicken tenders!"

"We'll have chicken fingers next week, I promise!" Coiny said, trying to cheer Thread up. Coiny then looked at all the kids, who still looked slightly skeptical about the dinner. "Try the chicken guys, I promise it's good!"

One by one each of the kids took a bite of the chicken, and all had varying reactions.

"This is amazing, Mom!" Dimey exclaimed. "Thank you so much!"

The throuple felt proud that the new dish got the approval from their son. "You're welcome, Dimey!"

"It's pretty good," Bladey said. "I'd eat this another time."

"I like chicken tenders better, but it's ok." Sprinkle said.

"Me too!" said Sack, as him and his brother continued eating the chicken. "It's not too bad though."

"Eh, good enough" Needle thought to herself, knowing how picky little kids like them could be with food.

Thread, however, was less than thrilled with the chicken. Upon taking a bite of it, she immediately spit it out back on to her plate. "I don't like it!" She said with a pout on her face and her arms crossed.

Pin sighed, knowing that Thread was especially picky with new foods. Thankfully, she had a backup plan. "I'm sorry it wasn't a hit, sweetheart. I can cook you up something else if you would like. What do you want, some buttered noodles, maybe some rice?"

Thread shook her head. "I want chicken tenders."

"Sorry Thread," Needle said, "but we didn't get chicken tenders today since we were having this instead. Mommy is sure to make something you like though."

Thread started to get frustrated. "No! I want chicken tenders!"

Pin crouched down beside Thread, her voice gentle but firm. "I know you're upset, sweetheart, and I'm really sorry I don't have chicken tenders for you tonight. But I can make you something else you like, okay? Let's work together to figure it out."

Thread's frustration didn't ease; instead, it grew sharper. "No! It's not fair!" she cried, her fists clenching and tears welling in her eyes. "I want chicken tenders! I don't want something else!"
