Sprinkle and Sack had both just finished their lunch at school, and it was now time for recess.
"Come on Sack!" Sprinkle exclaimed, as he ran towards the playground at full speed. "I want to be first to the swings."
"Hold on, Sprinkle." Sack said, walking behind his twin at a much slower pace.
Sprinkle looked behind him and noticed that Sack was putting his fingers in his mouth as he was walking, and it looked like he was touching one of his teeth.
"What are you doing?" Sprinkle asked his brother.
Sack took his hand out of his mouth. "Nothing."
Sprinkle didn't believe him. "Really, nothing? Come on, just tell me what you're doing."
Sack put his hand back in his mouth, and showed Sprinkle his loose tooth. "It's wiggling Sprinkle!"
Sprinkle's eyes widened. "You have a loose tooth! Lucky! I haven't gotten any yet."
Sack had a concerned look on his face. "Does that mean I ate too much candy? Mommy said that can happen."
Sprinkle shook his head. "She probably said that just to scare you, people lose teeth all the time! Once they fall out, your grown up teeth come in, and those stay in forever."
"Ohhhh!" Sack's worried expression softened. "So, it's not a bad thing?"
Sprinkle grinned. "Not at all! Man, everyone is going to think you're so cool for losing a tooth." Sprinkle kicked some dirt that was in front of him. "I wish I had a loose tooth."
Sack kept fidgeting with his tooth as he was talking to Sprinkle. "Are you sure, it's kinda annoying."
Sprinkle was adamant. "It's worth it for how cool you're gonna look after it falls out!"
Sack continued to twist his tooth around, desperate to try and remove it from his mouth. "Well, can you help me pull it out then so it stops annoying me?"
Sprinkle nodded, excited at the prospect of yanking a tooth out of his brother's mouth. "Alrighty then. Now, open your mouth and show me where the tooth is again."
Sackl opened his mouth, and pointed to his loose tooth. "It's this one, it's really annoying!"
Sprinkle could see that Sack had somehow managed to twist his tooth so that the back part of the tooth was facing Sprinkle. "Whoa, Sack!" Sprinkle exclaimed, leaning in for a closer look. "You really twisted it around. No wonder it feels weird!"
Sack mumbled with his mouth still open, "Can you just pull it out? I'm tired of it already."
Sprinkle hesitated for a moment, then grinned mischievously. "Alright, hold still. I'll yank it out on the count of three!"
Sack clenched his eyes shut and squeezed both of his hands into fists. Sprinkle grabbed the tooth gently with his fingers. "Okay, here we go. One... two..."
Before Sprinkle even got to three, Sack suddenly jerked back. "Wait, wait! What if it hurts?"
Sprinkle let go and sighed dramatically. "Come on, Sack, you said you wanted it out!"
"Well yeah, I do!" Sack put both of his hands together nervously. "But I'm nervous you're not gonna do it right!"
Sprinkle let out a deep sigh. "Well, then what do you want me to do, leave it there?"
Sack shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know?"
Sprinkle was disappointed that Sack was being difficult, but then, another idea popped into his head. "Wait right there, Sack." Sprinkle ran off in a different direction, leaving Sack to play with his tooth some more.
