"MOMMY!" Bladey shouted from across the room.
Gaty came running over, "What is it this time Bladey?"
Bladey put on her innocent, almost two year old face, "Can I PLEASE play with auntie Barf Bag!"
Gaty shook her head, "I'm sorry sweetheart, but Auntie Barf Bag is still sick."
Bladey groaned, "But she was sick yesterday, and the day before, and the day before and the day-"
"BLADEY!" Gaty said, making sure Bladey wouldn't keep going on forever, "No means no. If you want, mommy or I can play some blocks with you."
Bladey crossed her arms, "No!"
Gaty stared Bladey in the eyes, "What did you just say young lady."
Bladey started right back at her mom, "I already played blocks with you, I want to play with Auntie Barf Bag."
Gaty sighed, "I told you, she isn't feeling well. She can't play with you today, whether you like it, or not."
But Bladey wouldn't take no for an answer, "BUT I WANT TO PLAY WITH AUNTIE BARF BAG!"
Gaty had started to have enough of her daughter's attitude, but kept her composure, "Please don't talk to me that way Bladey, unless, you want me to put you in time out."
That was enough to get her to stop, as Bladey crossed her arms in defeat, "Hmph."
Gaty nodded, "That's what I thought. I'm going to get Mommy, and you and her can play some blocks together, sound good?"
Bladey, still annoyed that she couldn't play with her aunt, sighed, "Fine."
Gaty nodded, "Thank you."
Barf Bag still hadn't told any of the kids about the pregnancy, but it was clear that they knew something was different with her. Gaty really didn't want to be so hard on Bladey, but she didn't want her to give Barf Bag anymore trouble.
Once Gaty found Saw, she told her to go play with Bladey, "She knows something is up with Barf Bag, Saw. She's a smart kid."
Saw nodded, "Maybe you can go talk to Barfy about it. Besides, it'll be nice to have someone check in on her now."
Gaty sighed, "That's not a terrible idea. Maybe I'll let her know that Bladey is on to her."
Saw smiled, "That sounds good. I'm going to go play with her now to keep her distracted."
Gaty nodded, as she headed upstairs, and gently knocked on Barf Bag's door.
"Come in." Barf Bag said, still a little tired, as she tried to sit up in bed.
Gaty smiled as she walked in the door, "Hey, just wanted to check in on you."
Barf Bag smiled weakly, "I'm doing okay for now. I actually managed to eat two whole slices of bread for lunch. It might not sound like a big deal, but I haven't been able to keep much down for the past week."
Gaty smiled, glad to hear that Barf Bag was making some progress, "That's amazing! I'm glad your feeling at least a little better."
Barf Bag sighed, "I'm really sorry I haven't hung out with you guys as much. This pregnancy has just been making me feel like crap and there's not a whole lot I can do."
Gaty put on a faint smile, "It's not your fault Barfy, it's just part of life. Bladey really misses you by the way, she's been asking me if she could play with you all week!"
Barf Bag started to feel really bad, as she put her hands to her chest, "Awwww. I really want to play with her too."
Gaty knew that she had to eventually bring up the possibility of Barf Bag explaining to her what's been happening, "It might be time to tell her soon. I can tell she knows something's up. She may be young, but that girl is clever."
