Pin, Coiny, and Needle were worn out from a long day, snuggling together in bed before they called it a night. It was a tiring day at the bakery, and once they got home, the kids had been extra active after they got home from school, making the throuple ready as ever to get some sleep. Needle layed in between her two partners, the three of them enjoying eachothers company.
Coiny stretched out, his muscles aching from standing most of the day. "I'm exhausted," he said, rubbing his back. "I don't know where the kids get their energy from, but it's definitely not from me."
Needle chuckled, "I think it was me. Looking back, I don't know how I had the energy I did back when we competed, it seemed like it never ended."
Pin wrapped an arm around Needle, pulling her close with a soft smile. "Yeah, you were always the one with the endless energy," she teased. "It's no wonder the kids take after you, especially Dimey, that kid could play soccer for hours and still be running around the house before bedtime."
"He really is a clone of you Needle," Coiny noted.
Needle sighed, "Let's just hope he doesn't also have...you know...the maybe too competitive side of me also."
"Hey," Coiny said, "wouldn't be so bad if he did."
The throuple chuckled, settling into the warmth of each other's company. Coiny reached over and laced his fingers with Pin's, while Needle snuggled closer, resting her head on Pin's shoulder.
"I don't know," Needle said after a moment. "I don't want him to be too hard on himself; I remember how hard I was with myself when I got out in TPOT. There's a balance, you know?"
"Good thing he has two extra parents, 3 aunts, and an uncle to keep him in check," Coiny said.
"Speaking of Dimey," Needle added, "I was thinking of putting him in basketball this winter. Pen said he helps out with the kids rec basketball also, and knowing how much Dimey likes Coach Pen I think it'll be a good idea!"
"Hey." Pin said, "Whatever gets all his 5-year-old energy out!"
"On the topic of winter," Coiny added, "I think it's time to start planning out what we want to do with the kids over winter break. I was thinking that maybe all twelve of us could go somewhere fun!"
"Like where?" Needle asked.
"This might sound crazy," Coiny said, "but I was almost thinking about going back to that mountain resort near the Pillary Ruins, you know, the same one we did the last minute honeymoon at."
Needle's eyes widened in excitement. "You know...that you be a lot of fun for the kids. After all there were quite a few of them there when we went for the honeymoon!"
Pin nodded in agreement. "Plus I'd actually be able to do some of the activities this time since on our honeymoon I was, ya know, 7 months pregnant with Thread."
Coiny smiled, thrilled that Pin and Needle were in agreement. "It'll be our eight year honeymoonaversary! We should definitely talk to the others about it tomorrow and see if we can get them on board."
Everyone lagged at Coiny's interesting choice of words. Needle, however, had another thought on her mind. "Speaking of Thread...they have handicapped rooms in the hotel, right?"
Coiny thought about it, "I mean, I'd be surprised if they didn't. I'll go double check though, it would be impossible to navigate a regular hotel room with a wheelchair!"
"It's weird." Needle pointed out. "I never really thought about actually needing to book a handicapped room, somthing I always kinda glossed over, you know."
Pin chimed in. "I mean...I guess you can say I was handicapped for a little while, especially with the whole mech suit, but not to the extent where I needed a whole room that could suit my needs.'
"Are you ever going to tell her about that Pin?" Needle asked. "I mean, she's getting older, it's about time she knows."
Pin rolled her eyes. "I'll tell her eventually, okay?" She said sternly. "I'm just...waiting until it feels right. That was quite a difficult time in my life, and... I'd rather not talk about it."
Coiny reached over Needle to grab Pin's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "She's gonna get curious eventually. But, don't rush it, like you said, wait until you feel it's right."
"Thread is such a trooper," Needle said. "Just like her mom." Needle leaned over to Pin and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Pin smiled softly at Needle's kiss, the tension in her body easing. "Yeah, she is," Pin agreed, her voice quiet. "It's rare that she let's her wheelchair ever hold her back. Even when it does...the other kiddos know how to lift her spirits up!"
"I would have never thought about making a leaf pile at the bottom of the ramp!" Coiny interjected. "Kids can be quite creative sometimes!"
Pin snuggled into Needle some more, wrapping herself around her, starting to fall asleep. "You're so warm Needle." Pin muttered.
Coiny decided to see for himself, and wrapped his body around Needle to. "You are really warm, Needle."
Needle chuckled softly, feeling the comfort of both her partners surrounding her. "I guess I'm like a personal heater for you two tonight," she teased, her voice laced with warmth.
"One of perks of being poly that no one talks about are the cuddles." Pin mumbled. "There's a lot more warmth to go around!"
"Exactly," Coiny agreed with a chuckle. "We're like a cuddle machine with three people." He squeezed Needle gently, feeling the warmth she radiated. "Honestly, I don't know how I'd get through days like today without this."
Needle smiled, her heart full. "I think we all need this—especially after the long days we have."
Pin let out a content sigh. "Yeah, it's nice to just... turn off for a bit and be with you both. No work, no kids—just us."
The three of them stayed like that, embracing the warmth of each other, the room becoming filled with just the rhythm of each other's breathing. Wrapped in the warmth of each other's presence, they knew that no matter what tomorrow, or the next day, brought, they'd face it together.

I honestly don't think I've ever written fluff like this before. Regardless, I'm proud of how this one came out! Especially with Needle being somewhat distant from Coiny and Pin in both BFDIA and TPOT for the time being, it's writing chapters like these that remind me why I ship them in the first place!
Speaking of which, BFDIA 15 is on Friday, yay! I never know what to expect from BFDIA nowadays, so I guess we'll have to just wait and see!
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, and I'll see you in the next chapter!
