Preference 1*What you are & family

Basic idea but kinda needed.

Jace: vampire-none left but Camille is your sire

Clary: shadowhunter-Lydia is your cousin

Alec: half seelie-the seelie queen is actually your mother but you were sick as a baby so they swapped you out with a mundane.

Magnus: new shadowhunter-you were turned into a shadowhunter by Valentine and the cup so in a strange way.

Isabelle: werewolf-your real family but you moved away from them after being turned

Simon: shadowhunter with fae blood-you don't know either of your parents but you were left at the LA institute as a baby. The LA institute took you in so the Blackthorns are like family.

Maia: ifrit-They're dead. Sorry to be blunt. Your family all died by 2001

Jordan: warlock-Asmodeus is your father. That makes Magnus your half brother. Your mum and 'dad' died before 1892.

Camille: werewolf. You were turned from a shadowhunter and Hodge was your dad. He distanced himself from you completely after but Izzy, Alec and Jace are like siblings.

Raphael: seelie-Nerissa is your sister. You are not the sister that tried to keep a shadowhunter for special times.

Tessa: unmarked shadowhunter-Your real family. (In the present time)

Jem: warlock-none left alive. They had all died two years before you met James in 1879.

Will: mundane-Your real family (remember they would be your family in 1878ish so they would behave differently.). You had to estrange yourself after you accended.
