The room was filled with people. Some that you recognised, either from passing, actually having a conversation with them or in pictures/on tv. Most you did not recognise though which doesn't really surprise you since you hadn't been in Barcelona long and you hadn't met a lot of people either having other things to sort out. Tonight though you can get to know some more people, preferably Antoine's teammates and their partners since you'll be seeing them the most. Antoine's hand was intertwined with yours and holding tightly. Your hand was a little bit clammy from the heat of the room and from the nerves of meeting new people but Antoine didn't seem to mind that your hands were a little bit clammy as he still held it. You saw him stop and take a look around the room when you walked in clearly trying to find somebody that he knew. Anybody that he knew. He seemed to find them fairly quickly though because instantly he took off in a direction and pulled on your arm letting you know that the two of you were moving. Instantly you followed him mainly so he wasn't dragging you around. He didn't let go of your hand. Not even for a second since he didn't want you to get lost in the crowd of people.

"Antoine," Ousmane shouted when he noticed the two of you walking over towards the group causing everyone else to turn to face the both of you. To be honest you heard him before you saw him but now at least you knew where you both were going. Okay, you knew Ousmane quite well and have talked to him a few times because of international duty and he helped you and Antoine when you moved to Barcelona. So at least that is one person that you know relatively well. You looked around at the group of people that he was standing with trying to figure out if you knew any of the others around him. Clearly, you recognised most of them but figured out that you have never spoken to any of them, except Samuel Umtiti and Ousmane Dembele.

When you and Antoine reached the group filled with his teammates and partners he went around to talk to all of them and you followed them getting introduced to all the people that you haven't met before which was mainly the plus-ones (mainly partners) that Antoine's teammates had brought with them. You stayed closely by Antoine's side knowing how awkward you would be if he wasn't there. You would be standing by yourself and not integrating yourself into the conversation since you didn't want to be rude since this was the first time you were meeting them but with Antoine there it was different. You did listen carefully to what they were saying and did join into the conversation and found yourself enjoying the company and conversation a lot. Eventually, though you did move away from Antoine to talk to some other of his teammates and their partners which you got on surprisingly well with. It also meant that Antoine could speak to some of his teammates without you around him so he was able to spend time with them.

Antoine stood to the side talking to a couple of his teammates and watched as you spoke to some of the others and their partners. He wanted to walk over to see what you were laughing at and to see if it really was as funny as you were making it out to be. You have different laughs and Antoine knew all of them and the one you were laughing with now was the one where you are nearly not breathing because of how hard you were laughing. The story must be funny. It felt like you were ignoring him and he didn't like it. He didn't like the fact that you weren't paying any attention to him. Not even a glance. He was feeling slightly jealous over the fact his teammates were getting more attention than he was from you. Okay, maybe more than slightly jealous but he was trying to hide it. Just not very well. The way you're laughing and giving them your full attention. He hated it. Yes, they're telling you a story so it's polite to listen but still, there is no need to laugh that hard. Don't get Antoine wrong he trusts you. He trusts you with his life; it's just the guys that he doesn't trust. He hasn't known the guys long enough to fully trust them, even the ones with partners. Once trust between them builds it should be fine but right now it's not. He never knows what the other guys are thinking. Even the ones with partners. He's had past girlfriends who've gone and slept with past friends and teammates so he struggles to fully trust teammates now. Antoine had gotten used to you talking to his teammates from Atletico and most of the France National Team. He was rarely jealous of you talking to Atletico teammates but whilst he gets used to these new ones he will probably get jealous a lot-
