Day 20 of CountDown to Christmas

You were nervously looking around the room sorting out all of the final touches. Tonight you were throwing a surprise party for Kylian. It's his 22nd birthday and you wanted to do something for it. You wanted to celebrate it with all of his mates and teammates. The two of you can celebrate it as just the two of you on another date but as well as his birthday party it's also a Christmas party. Two birds one stone. The room was decorated with all kinds of decorations. Some clearly birthday ones whilst others were clearly Christmas ones. Like you said do both at one time. Once you made sure everything was correct and all that you left to go home to see Kylian and get ready for tonight and you still had to pick out your outfit. He's had training all day because of the game that they have in the next couple of days. The last one before Christmas.

"Is it alright Ma'am?" You heard somebody ask you. You gasped out of shock of not knowing somebody was in the room with you. You thought you were completely alone so apparently, somebody had come in whilst you were looking around and sorting out the final things. When you gained some sort of composure you turned around to face the person who spoke to you. He was one of the people that worked here that was helping you with the party. You recognised him since you have spoken a couple of times beforehand.

"It's perfect," You breathed out. The other person smiled brightly, quite clearly glad that you enjoyed the look of the room. You had given them all of the decorations and a rough plan of what you wanted but they had set everything up for you.

"I came to ask what time you would like the food at?" The person who works here asked. You thought for a minute. You and Kylian were meant to be arriving at 7 so it would have to be after that and then everyone would probably want to wish him happy birthday so it would have to be after 7:30 at least probably even past that. You couldn't do it too late either because there would be a lot of food leftover which you and Kylian would have to end up eating.

"Around 8," You said, sounding unsure. It made sense to have food around that time. Right? It would be out for the rest of the night if anybody gets peckish which you probably would. You'll probably end up standing by the food all night to be totally honest. Or the bar to get alcohol but more likely the buffet.

"What about the cake Ma'am?" He then went on to ask. Internally you groaned not having thought about any of this beforehand you were more focused on Kylian not finding out about the party. You thought about it and you thought that there would be no right time for cake and you wouldn't know the best time until it came.

"Can I just come in to get it when I am ready to do so?" You asked knowing that was going to be the best option.

"Of course. I will let the people who are working know," The guy said to you before beginning to walk out of the room to the other people to let them know what they were doing tonight.

"Thank you," You said before he left the room. He nodded to you in response before actually leaving the room leaving you by yourself. You sorted out one last thing before deciding to leave it if you stayed any longer you would end up messing it all up and you didn't want to do that. You took one last look at the room before leaving the room wanting to get home before Kylian and you knew that he would be leaving training soon so you had to leave now.

You had just got into the house when you heard a car pull up instantly you knew that it was Kylian coming. You got home just in time you thought. A smile unconsciously made its way onto your face and you tried to find something to busy yourself with to make it look if you were busy and hadn't just come home. You kind of dreaded Kylian coming home from training just in case he knew anything. All of his teammates knew about this surprise party so you were hoping none of them had spilt it to him as you knew exactly what they were like. Kylian walked into the house with a massive smile on his face obviously enjoying training.
