Yari has been outside practising football for a couple of hours and Shannon knows that he wants to be the best that he can be but practising for hours in the rain isn't good for his health. Shannon let him be for a bit longer thinking that he would have to common sense to come inside by himself when it is pouring rain but obviously he doesn't.

"Yari come inside it's pouring down and you're going to get sick." Shannon shouted out to him. He turned his head to show her that he acknowledged what she said. He already had a cold before today but Shannon knew that being out in the rain would make it worse.

"In a minute" Yari replied continuing to play football by himself. Shannon just sighed getting irritated. She knew what was going to happen to him and as soon as she heard him cough she had enough and knew that the only way that he would come in would be to drag him so that's what she decided to do. Shannon quickly put a random pair of her shoes on which where conveniently by the door because she hadn't put them away from the last time that she wore them. She ran out in the rain and literally dragged him inside and out of the rain. All the way in Shannon could hear him coughing and sneezing and she sighed knowing that she would have to look after him and that he would complain that he couldn't go football training.

"Right, go into bed and I will make some soup" Shannon said to him.

"Nope, not ill" he insisted even though he was sniffing and you could hear from his voice that he was ill.

Shannon, not having any of it, took him to bed and Yari immediately got under the covers and cuddled up into them. Shaking her head and smiling fondly Shannon decided to make him some warm soup to help with his throat and hydrate him a little bit more. She knew that it would be hard to get Yari to eat especially when he's ill but she had to try anyway and she also had to get him to take medicine which would also be a struggle.

Once Shannon made the soup she carried it up to the bedroom so that Yari wouldn't have to move from his bed. When Shannon opened the bedroom door Yani was lying on his bed with his favourite teddy bear under his chin cuddling it tightly. He's had that bear since he was a baby so now it's a comfort thing for him so when he's ill it's one of the only things that makes him have some sort of comfort. When Yari saw Shannon he sat up and winced a little bit when he saw what Shannon had in her hand. He hated the medicine and Shannon knew it but he would have to take it.

"Just eat the soup" Shannon said passing him the soup whilst putting the medicine on the side as she knew it would be better for him to eat first because the medicine usually makes him drowsy so he could sleep after that. She moved her hand constantly through Yari's hair as he was eating so he had some sort of comfort  whilst eating. As soon as he finished eating he passed the bowl back to Shannon and laid down on the bed with his bear. Yari instantly knew something wasn't right though so he quickly sat up and grabbed the bucket that Shannon placed next to him just in case he needed it. Yari threw up in the bucket and Shannon rubbed his back in comfort knowing that she would have to give him the medicine as soon as he stopped throwing up. As soon as Yari did stop throwing up and that did take a while he went straight into a coughing fit and Shannon started to feel a bit useless not being able to help him get through this but eventually he did stop and took a deep breath.

"Now time for the medicine" Shannon said placing the bowl down on the side and grabbing the medicine once she made sure Yari was completely fine. Yari started mumbling something but it was incoherent. He kept moving his mouth away from Shannon so she couldn't put the medicine in. Shannon stopped for a minute to try to think of another way to do this.

"You either take this medicine now or I will have to force you." Shannon said to him but he didn't move his head towards Shannon so she decided to go along with her plan. She took his bear off of him. Yes that was her brilliant plan but she knew that it would work so it didn't matter. Yari instantly started whining wanting his best back but Shannon wouldn't give it back until he took his medicine.

"You can have your bear back when you take the medicine." Shannon told him. Yari just pouted hoping to get what he wanted from that but Shannon didn't fall for it because she wanted Yari to get better and him having the medicine was the best way for that to happen. Yari eventually gave up and opened his mouth for the medicine which Shannon done quickly and gave him his bear back and it wasn't long after that till Yari fell asleep.

Shannon eventually fell asleep too once she knew that Yari was asleep and somewhat fine and at least kind of okay. Well okay enough to sleep. Shannon didn't get much sleep though because the next thing that she knew was that she was waking up to Yari screaming, crying and kicking. She knew that this would happen as it always happens when he's ill but it always manages to break her heart a little bit. It's hard when the person you love is in so much pain that they can't even sleep peacefully. Shannon placed her hand in Yari hair and ran her hand through it. She knew Yari was a light sleeper so it wouldn't take a lot to wake him up.

"Come on Yari, wake up" Shannon says to him and eventually Yari did wake up and his arms immediately went around Shannon looking for some comfort from her. Shannon spent the rest of the day looking after Yari making sure he was comfortable and making sure that he was getting better before he would go back outside and play football again. It took a bit of time and a lot of whining but eventually Yari did get better and could play football again. Not in the rain though in the back garden.
