"cover me," you said to haechan and ran out from behind a wall. you stood behind a pillar and gestured haechan to follow you.

"left or right?" he asked you.

"right, and let's head upstairs," you said to him.

haechan nodded, "i'll lead. cover our six."

you followed haechan through the arena while covering from behind. you heard paintball guns firing and resulted into shooting tae il when you saw him sneaking around.

"y/n, hurry up," haechan commanded and you hurried behind him. "over there," he said and pulled you into a small fort. both of you were back-to-back waiting for anyone on the opposing team to appear.

you saw jeno sneak around and shot him with your paintball gun. green paint stained his vest. he looked around and saw you, "damn it! guys! watch out! y/n and haechan teamed up again!" he yelled in frustration before heading to the nearest exit.

then, you heard haechan shoot his gun multiple times.

"got you, jaehyun!" haechan yelled.

"look at your vest, i got you, too," you heard jaehyun say and you turned around to look at haechan. you saw yellow paint on his vest.

"you have to be kidding me," you spoke in disbelief since your partner was out.

"damn..." haechan muttered and looked at you. "you got this, y/n. you'll be fine."

"no, i won't! we're a team!" you said to him.

"well, we ain't a team now," haechan replied. "win for me, will you? not too many people left to get."

you groaned in frustration while haechan patted your shoulder. "just get out of here before i shoot you."

"geez, you trying to actually kill me?" he asked and walked out of the fort, "have fun," he said and ran away.

the round of paintball continued and you heard shots being fired from nearby. you ducked down and sneaked out of the fort. you went back downstairs and found shelter behind a corner. then, you crawled behind a pillar and found johnny hiding behind a wall.

"were you hit?" you asked him.

johnny shook his head, "nah, but chenle is around here somewhere. if we take him out, then we win."

"then let's hunt him down," you responded and johnny nodded.

you continued sneaking through the arena with johnny behind you. then, you saw someone on the opposing team and aimed at their armor. you fired the trigger and saw chenle fall to the ground.

"nice one, y/n!" johnny cheered as the round came to an end.

everyone returned to the waiting area and you saw haechan getting ready for the next round.

"i won for us," you said to him and he turned to look at you.

he smiled, "i knew you would."

"hey guys, let's switch up the teams," taeyong suggested.

"yea, sure," lucas agreed with the rest of the us.

the teams were randomized and you switched into the gear that was for the red team. you looked for harchan and saw him still in his gear for the blue team.

"we're on opposite teams?" you questioned.

"guess so," haechan replied, "sorry partner, looks like i gotta take you down."

you smirked, "not if i take you down first."
