"what do you want to drink? coffee? juice?" johnny asked while walking into the kitchen.

"coffee is fine," you replied as you held his kitten in your arms. "aren't you cute?" you smiled and played with him.

the kitten purred while being in your arms. he got super comfortable and soon was resting in your arms. you gently rubbed the top of his head before hearing johnny walk back into the living room.

"you're supposed to be cuddling with me, not my kitten," johnny said. you could hear the pout in his voice.

"well, my attention was taken away by someone else," you replied and looked up at johnny. he sat down on the couch next to you and put two mugs on the coffee table. "thanks for the coffee."

"yea, of course," he softly smiled at you. "how was class?" he asked.

you shrugged your shoulders, "okay. i've been so tired lately, so class has honestly been hard to focus in."

"are you not sleeping well again? you've been staying up when i go to sleep," he responded and sat down on the floor next to you. "don't make me worry about you," he said as he put his arm over your shoulders.

you sighed, "i think i'm just not in the right place mentally. i couldn't tell you the last time i was able to relax."

johnny's kitten start crawling over you and eventually jumped into johnny's lap. the latter put his coffee down while you grabbed your mug of caffeine. you drank some of the coffee before putting the mug on the table.

"want to take a nap? it might help you," johnny suggested while playing with his kitten.

"but i wanna play with him," you pouted and looked straight at his kitten, who stared back at you. "i thought i was your favorite..." you said while petting him.

"i would hope that he likes his owner more than you," johnny spoke. "hold him," he instructed and you carefully picked up his kitten. then, johnny moved you so you were in his lap. "hey, whenever we're together, try to just relax. you shouldn't worried about ever little thing all the time, ya know?"

you nodded and kissed his cheek. then, you rested your head on top of his shoulder while johnny held you in his arms.

"baby?" you hummed in response as you closed your eyes, finally able to rest a little, "i love you, babe."

"i love you, too, babe."
