I was going to turn off the fence when I saw Zarine almost getting mauled by a vampire. I almost shot up and ran to him. I barely controlled myself.

Scott and Sage looked down at me sensing my jerky movement and I smiled nervously.

"You ok there?" Scott asked and I nodded weakly.

I fully turned down the electric fence. Now everyone was free. They would know the moment the next person tried to escape. Or even accidentally got thrown onto the walls.

My prediction came true as a vampire soldier pushed a wolf not the wall and was shocked to see him unharmed. IN such a chaotic fight it shouldn't have taken so long. Especially when both sides used the electrocution as a weapon to their own advantage.

The next moment the wolf yelled at everyone to run outside as the fence was down. So many were semi-shifting as well, thanks to our fast metabolism. This evened the battlefield a lot. Even with lesser numbers, the agar vampire was two times stronger than a werewolf of mid-rank. Add to that their advanced weapons and it was hard to predict a winner.

Sean's eyes narrowed but he didn't say anything. Thru situation was troubling for them. If the blood of the semi-shifted wolves came into contact with their own, there would be consequences. Although it won't be enough to kill them. They looked at the fence speculatively. Yes this situation was extremely troubling for them

Alpas rushed their pack members outside and they were the first ones to semi-shift as their metabolisms were fastest.

Blaze and Sam were too busy with their own conflict to notice anything though.

"What went wrong with the fence?" Scott asked and Sage shrugged. They still didn't suspect me.

I caught Jason's eye and nodded, asking him to commence with our plan.

Hails, Drake, and Jake joined him as he stormed us. Sage, Sean, and Scott noticed immediately, taking their fighting stances. They had taken it easy till now.

Drake, Jake, and Hails confronted Sage, Scott, and Sean while Jason broke through the vampire barricade driving a knife into my gut.

My eyes went wide at the searing pain.

"Zara!" Scott yelled as I collapsed.

Drake, Jake, and Hails looked shocked too, and then they looked at me while the blood pooled underneath me. Jason did have good aim if nothing else. I wouldn't be surprised if he hit anything vital. And without Zian that placed me in a very unfavorable position. But we both knew the risks.

For this moment I was glad Blaze and I weren't bonded and that he was busy with Sam. Because things would get pretty ugly pretty quickly if he got involved and the last thing we needed was wolves attacking other wolves.

Only Jason and I knew of this plan. I privately message shim about it a few days ago. He hadn't even given me any confirmation but he must have sensed my desperation. And I felt a part of him, the angry one really wanted to do it anyways.

He looked like he was shocked at his own actions for a second before shouting insults at me and a few of the pack members cheered behind him. How quickly they turned against me. I couldn't blame them though.

Zian still wouldn't come forward to heal me and they looked a little bit shocked to see the blood pooling around my feet. Jason especially didn't know what had gone wrong. I smiled reassuringly. I wasn't going to collapse yet. Not before I had fulfilled my part of the deal.

And besides, he was doing an exceptional job, acing wise. His expressions- sadness, anger, pain it all morphed together so well. He seriously needed to consider a career in the field.
