"Hey y/n! did you want another drink?" I laughed and simply shook my head at my bestfriend, "I have to drive home tonight or I would."

"Just stay here at my house!" She yelled over the music but I shook my head once again, "no I got to get home to the dog. I can't leave him all night on his own, thank you though my love." She laughed and pulled me into the living room where the party was lively and people were dancing.

I felt my phone vibrate against my leg where it was put, I pulled it out and saw Ryan was ringing me, I taped my friend on the shoulder. "Ryan is calling, I'm stepping outside for a minute." She nodded and I rushed outside so I didn't miss his call.

"Hey Ryan, how are you?" The line was silent.

"Ryan?" It was then I heard a simple cry, my thoughts immediately flooded with the worse possible outcomes. Was he hurt? Is he in trouble? "Ryan I'm on my way over just stay on the phone with me alright my love?" I grabbed my keys from my jacket pocket and ran towards my car with my phone pressed to my ear with my shoulder.

I could only hear him cry into the phone, his cries made my heart clench in the worst ways. It was unusual to hear him cry but when I did it meant that something was wrong. Really wrong.

"Ryan stay on the phone with me." I sped twenty over the limit to his house, it wasn't like Ryan to cry; he rarely showed any sort of emotion to anyone around him unless he truly trusted you.

He knew I was always there for him and I felt incredibly grateful he knew he could always call me, no matter the time or place. I parked the car on his drive and ran inside, "Ryan?" I ran upstairs into his room not finding him there but continued to search for him.

I finally found him sitting on the couch in his studio, "oh ry.." I rushed towards him and pulled him into my chest, I held him while he cried.

"It's alright, I've got you.."

"I-I'm sorry.." he apologised the second he had managed to catch a breath and calm himself down, "don't be so stupid, you never have to apologise.. you wanna tell me what's wrong?"

"I-I don't know.. I just feel so alone and lost. I know it sounds stupid but I feel so alone. I-I just don't feel good?" He sniffles, my heart wrenching at his confession. He struggled to express his emotions like I said but I knew him well enough to know what he meant. He just needed someone. "Ryan did you want to move in with me? Or I can move in here with you. I think it would benefit us both." I couldn't go a day without talking to Ryan on the phone, I depended on him; after all he is my older brother.

"Would you want to do that? I mean, the band is over here sometimes and I wouldn't want to bother you with me practicing or streaming-" I cut off his rambling.

"Ryan, I promise. Your place is bigger and besides you can live with Trevor." I smile at him as he sits up from my arms now with a small, sad smile on his face while he tried to get himself to stop crying.

"I fucking love that dog." I laugh at him and shake my head in amusement. "Well he loves you too, I'll split rent here with you but you have to promise me to help me move all my stuff in here." He chuckles, "I'll get Chris and the guys to help me. They're much stronger than me."

I gasp playfully, "that's band labour!"

"Eh, they make me lug around all their shit all the time. They can suck it up and help us." I couldn't help but giggle and lean my head on his shoulder.

"I love you ry, you'll never be alone I promise. Not until the day I die." I promised. I'll always have his back, no matter what. He might be my brother but he's my best friend also. He's the sweetest, kindest soul on this earth and he doesn't deserve to be alone let alone feel it. He might come off as an ass but trust me, he's just a big softie.

"I love you too, y/n."

"Why don't we go back to mine, get Trevor and play some tarkov?"

"Now that sounds like a good time to me." He stands up and pulls me up with him, it felt like we were little kids again.

Running around and shoving each other playfully, doing anything that would excite us in the smallest way just to get each other to laugh.

We climb into my car, still wearing our wide smiles that didn't feel like they were going to leave at any point. "So tell me about what you've been doing recently." I interact, trying to start a conversation even though the silence around us was comfortable enough without having to ruin it with conversing.

"Oh! On my streams there's these group of people who have made a drinking game, so when I mention certain thing or do something they take a shot. It's actually pretty cool." I keep my eyes on the road but make sure he knows I'm still listening.

"Really? That's some dedication, sounds like fun though. We should drink with them some time." I suggest with a small laugh in my voice.

"They're coming to the London show next year, I promised to take a shot with them so you'll have to fly over and do it with us."

"That sounds like a lot of fun! I'm so down for that." In this time we had made it back to my house, "you seem excited?" I laugh as Ryan runs towards the porch.

"Let me in! I wanna see my best friend!" He practically bounced where he's stood, I let him in and Trevor immediately jumps on him.

"Hi buddy! I missed you so much! How you doing, huh? Oh you are so cute." He lays down on the floor letting Trevor fuss over him. I couldn't help but admire him and how happy he was in this moment. I'm glad our childhood golden retriever could bring him some source of happiness, it seems like he needed it.

"Come on trev! Let's go buddy!" Before I can even process what's going on, the two of them are rushing out to my car. "You two wanna wait for me?!" I struggle to lock my door as fast as I wanted to but soon enough did and rushed back to the car.

"No! Hurry up slow coach we're waiting!" Ryan yelled out of the window, Trevor barked making us both laugh. "You tell 'em Trevor!" I shake my head at them and drive back to Ryan's.

Ryan sets up a game of tarkov in his office where he usually streams and pulls out his old gaming chair for me. "You can use either one I don't mind." I sit in his old one just feeling it was the right thing to do and Trevor sits at our feet.

"Thank you for tonight, y/n."

"Oh don't be silly Ryan. Now, you suck at this game and I'm so gonna win!" I yell playfully.

"Oh fuck off! You'll never be able to beat me!" I stick my tongue out at him playfully to which he does the same back. "Uh huh that's what you think."

We were always competitive, we yelled at each other into late hours of the night and early hours of the morning but it was nice to have him with me.

I missed him a lot, I dread for the neighbours who have to get used to us yelling over a game at each other now constantly.

"How the fuck did you win?!"
