It's been a little...hectic completing 30 chapters in 5 weeks for Bondage in the True Love on Tapas writing contest. My brain is a little fried. I'd appreciate it if fellow pussywillows can check it out, too! <3

I think...it's also almost time to finish editing Part 1 of VLO to publish on Kindle in 2024?

[Day 8]

Teru knew he had fallen asleep in Kieran's arms. While his alpha tried to get them to Nashville before their pilot left them behind, he had his own mission.

He couldn't tell Kieran about it, either.

Why?

Because he'd be absolutely livid with Teru for doing this reckless descent. Again. The first time was an accident. Second time was on purpose. Now, the third time was just him so pissed off at that bastard's stunt.

Teru was on his way to see Abaddon in his realm. Blaise made it sound like going to these spiritual places was borderline impossible unless desperate enough to break through.

Well, I'm probably one of the most desperate humans in history. It's not surprising I can do this more easily than others.

He felt along the moist cave walls, guiding himself within the darkness. His feet stepped over jagged rocks, ignoring the sharp jabs into his soles. Though everyone knew he hated caves, Teru had a bone to pick with that angel! Actually, no, demon was a better way to describe him!

I am about to snap if no one can give us a damned moment of peace!

Finally, ahead was a reddish light. Teru walked past the exit and into the larger-than-life clearing, sheltered like a bowl. It seemed bigger than last time. The black crystals growing around the moat were taller and shinier. The waterfall cascading from the land above had become wider. This time, locusts were flying way above in front of the two blood-red moons.

The thorn chair was missing.

"Abaddon!" Teru yelled. "Get out here, you crazy asshole!"

No response.

"Abaddon!"

"So loud this early in the morning? What a rude little thing," a husky voice said right behind him. It sounded like they had just woken up.

Teru's heart jumped out of his chest in surprise and turned around quickly. Abaddon towered over him. His broken, limp wings trailed behind as if he was tired. Lines of tar seeping from the cursed feathers followed him where he walked. The throne, covered in blood-spiked thorns, was now there. It seemed to only appear when Abaddon was in the vicinity.

Though he automatically shivered because of what Abaddon did to him in New York, he had to be strong at this moment. Teru couldn't let this person have any sort of control over his life anymore. He took a big breath in to make himself look bigger.

"Don't you think," Teru stepped forward and poked him in the chest, "you took it too far yesterday? What was up with that bullshit?"

"Language," Abaddon smirked, mocking Kieran's dislike for Teru's use of bad words.

It only made Teru growl and poke him harder. "That was uncalled for! We are literally running for our lives! We don't need your tricks mixed in, too. Do you understand me?"

Abaddon tilted his head in confusion. "Tricks? Oh! Do you mean the hallucinations? It wasn't real."

"It...wasn't?"

He has to be lying. It felt too real!

"No. I am an amazing manipulator. All I did was cast an illusion for you to see your gender's true nature. I did not know what you'd see or experience. So? What was it that you saw? What did you feel?"
