Teru wanted to run and get away from all the alpha pheromones fogging up his mind. Now. Only, he could not. There was nowhere to go but to stay inside this narrow contraption in the sky.

Not long after taking off, Blaise used his authoritative pheromones over Lucas and tried to force him to submit. Lucas, even when in a zombie-like state, refused to lose as an alpha himself. He released sporadic bursts of lavender. Mint had joined to assert dominance, but it failed to work.

The battle between pheromones was musky, angry, and thick. The intense mixture of all three scents made Teru cough and wheeze. His inner omega became very nervous. Despite the order to kneel not being meant for him, his legs trembled from the desire to surrender.

The two clashed in the middle of the plane, much to the pilot's dismay. Just one strong punch from Blaise could rip a hole right through. Kieran brought Teru to the backend to get away from the physical chaos.

"Shh, just focus on me." Kieran pushed Teru's face into the crook of his neck where his scent gland was. The mint helped some, but not by much.

"Damn it, just be obedient for once!" Blaise yelled at the human now in a chokehold. Teru flinched and closed his eyes. Overpowering vanilla suffocated everyone in the plane except Emerson, a beta who couldn't detect pheromones. "Why do you always fight me? Why do you always run away? Why do you hate me so much and you want to eat me? I like being eaten, my damned virtue, but not like that. If you want some of my blood, then fucking go down!"

It eventually worked. Lucas went from a feral beast to docile while in his master's tight grasp. When Blaise was satisfied by the behavior, he told Lucas, "Good boy."

Teru peered over Kieran's shoulder. He couldn't look away when the blonde vampire got off of Lucas, picked him like a limp doll since he was under the control of dominant pheromones, and bit Lucas's throat.

His friend weakly struggled and clawed at Blaise's cheek. Lucas went still. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as pheromone venom did its magic. Teru knew the feeling, sometimes finding himself wishing to experience the high again.

Sucking his blood was fast. It didn't take anywhere near as long compared to when Blaise had turned Zander. Was it because Blaise did not intend to fully turn Lucas now?

Well, it was not like Blaise could anyway, given that he didn't have enough blood to finish the process. He cut his wrist and fed Lucas a tiny amount.

When Lucas began convulsing, Kieran saw Teru staring and shielded his eyes.

"He'll be fine," Kieran soothed him. "Your pack mate just needs the blood to work in his system. He will return to his normal personality in minutes."

"How...often will he need Blaise to do this?" Teru was scared to know.

"It's difficult to say, little one. Not every human has the same reaction. It is usually five to six times a day to keep his dead body alive. When his blood starts to spoil and veins decompose, that is when he becomes...well, you know; what you witnessed."

Teru was eternally thankful Kieran would deal with it when they landed. Lucas did not deserve a life like this. As he said, it was inhumane.

"I don't want to be like that ever," Teru said with sadness in his voice.

Kieran still had his hand over his eyes as he kissed Teru. "You will never be. I promise."

Things finally went quiet except for the engine's loud purring. Kieran picked him up. "For now, you should rest. There's a sofa and a pillow. Do you need to use the restroom?"
