Tengen Uzui had always been a man of extravagance and excess. He was known for his love of women and fine things, and his reputation as a powerful and skilled swordsman only added to his allure. So when his family informed him that he would be marrying a young woman from a prestigious family, he was not surprised. It was a common practice for nobles to arrange marriages for their children, and Tengen had always been expected to follow in his family's footsteps.
But when he first laid eyes on his betrothed, Baylee, he was taken aback. She was a few years younger than him, with long, wavy black hair and doe-like brown eyes. She was petite and delicate, and Tengen couldn't help but feel both excited and slightly intimidated by her.
Baylee, on the other hand, was terrified. She had heard stories about Tengen's wild ways and feared what kind of husband he would be.
