I woke up with a splitting headache. I groaned and sat up, rubbing my eyes. I yawned and pulled my blanket off me. I stood up, immediately regretting it. The pain in my head grew worse as I slugged over to my bag. I pulled off my flannel shirt and grabbed a bra. I clipped it on before pulling on some clean panties. I then grabbed a clean-ish light blue long sleeved v-neck and some black ripped jeans. I then pulled on my combat boots and headed over to Daryl, who was still sleeping. I kicked his side and he grumbled before rolling over.

"Daryl, get up." I called. He groaned and sat up, holding his head. He climbed out of his sleeping bag and got dressed into a sleeveless flannel and some jeans. "I'm gonna go down to get some breakfast." I said. He nodded and waved me off. I left the room and followed the hallway down to the dining room. "Mornin' all." I smiled, before headed over to the coffee machine.

"Hey Pipe." Lori called. I also got a quick 'morning' from Rick and the other guys. I poured myself a coffee before sitting down next to Glenn who was holding his head and groaning. I took a sip from my coffee before placing my head on the table, as the pain continued to throb.

"Where'd all this come from?" Rick asked, holding up a bottle of pills.

"Jenner. He thought we could use it." Lori explained then looked up at Glenn and I. "Some of us, at least." She smirked. I held out my hand and she placed the pills in it.

"Don't ever ever ever let me drink again." Glenn groaned as Jacqui rubbed his shoulders. I laughed and took two pills before handing the pill bottle to Glenn. I began to eat the eggs which T-Dog had placed in front of me when Shane walked in.

"Hey." He called.

"Hey, do you feel as bad as I do?" Rick asked, smirking.

"Worse." Shane mumbled.

"What the hell happened to your neck?" T-Dog asked, I saw the red scratches on his neck.

"I must have done it in my sleep." Shane said, sitting down.

"Never seen you do that before." Rick stated, confused.

"Me neither. Not like me at all." Shane muttered.

"Morning." Jenner called, as he entered the room.

"Hey, doc. Doctor, I don't mean to slam you with questions, but we didn't come here for the eggs." Dale said as Daryl too, entered the room. He kissed my forehead before grabbing a cup of coffee. He sat down next to me. Jenner looked at us and nodded.

"Give me playback of TS-19." Jenner ordered Vi. We were now in the main computer room of the compound. Jenner was going to show us his research. I was stood by Daryl, who had that usual scowl across his face.

"Playback of TS-19." Vi repeated, before a file began to load on the big screen.

"Few people ever got to see this. Very few." Jenner explained as a large hologram of a skull and brain appeared on the screen.

"Is that a brain?" Carl exclaimed, Jenner looked down at him and smiled.

"An extraordinary one." He replied. "Not that it matters in the end. Take us in for E.I.V." He told the computer. The file was suddenly zoomed in to the inside of the brain. Bright lights flickered round it,

"What are those lights?" I asked. Daryl glanced at me then up at Jenner.

"It's a person's life and experiences, memories. It's everything. Somewhere in all that organic wiring, all those ripples of light, is you, it's the thing that makes you unique and human." Jenner explained, looking back at us.
