We were stood in the cell block discussing what our next move was gonna be. However, all I could do is continue to glare at Daryl who occasionally sent glances my way, but most of the time, kept his eyes on the ground.

"We're not leaving." Rick said.

"We can't stay here." Hershel added.

"What if there's another sniper? A wood pallet won't stop one of those rounds." Maggie added.

"We can't even go outside. Not in the daylight." Beth sighed.

"Look, if Rick says we're not running, we're not running. I'm sticking with him." I said, looking up at them.

"I'm with Piper, we're not running." Glenn said, nodding in agreement.

"No, better to live like rats." Merle piped in.

"Shut your cracker ass up, no-one asked for your opinion, quite frankly no-one cares." I sneered, Rick lifted his arm up to me. I glanced at him, he gave me a look. I nodded before looking down.

"You got a better idea?" Rick asked Merle.

"Yeah, we should have slid out of here last night and lived to fight another day, but we lost that window, didn't we? I'm sure he's got scouts on every road out of this place by now." Merle explained. I rolled my eyes at him.

"We ain't scared of that prick." Daryl snapped. I glanced up at him, before looking back at Merle.

"Y'all should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell, we might have some thick walls to hide behind, but he's got the guns and the numbers and if he takes the high ground around this place, shoot, he could just starve us out if he wanted to." Merle explained.

"Let's put him in the other cell block." I snapped, looking back at Rick.

"No. He's got a point." Daryl snapped down at me. I glared up at him again.

"This is all you. You started this." Maggie yelled at Merle.

"What difference whose fault it is?" Beth exclaimed, walking down the stairs. "What do we do?" She asked Rick.

"I said we should leave. Now Axel's dead. We can't just sit here." Hershel said angrily. Rick sighed before walking away. Hershel pulled himself up. "Get back here!" He yelled, causing me to flinch. "You're slipping, Rick. We've all seen it. We understand why. But now is not the time. You once said this isn't a democracy. Now you have to own up to that. I put my family's life in your hands. So get your head clear and do something." Hershel spoke. Rick looked back at him before nodding. He then walked away. The group then dispersed, talking about plans to protect this place. I went to follow Rick when a rough hand touched mine. Knowing who's it was I snatched my hand away.

"Don't you dare touch me." I sneered at Daryl.

"Piper, we need to tal-"

"No, we do not need to talk, I said everything I needed to out there, by Woodbury, the place where your brother took me, where I was beaten half to death, so no, we definitely don't need to talk." I yelled before walking away. I walked in direction that Rick went, finding him out on the balcony type thing with Carl. "Hey Carl, is it okay if I talk with your daddy for a minute." I asked. Carl nodded and smiled before heading inside.

"What's up?" Rick asked.

"I just wanted to say thanks." I smiled.

"For what?" Rick asked, looking down at me.
