That night I was sat out on the porch. Rick still wanted us to sleep in the one house, which I was okay with now.  Tomorrow, he said Glenn can move into the other house with his little group, which I was completely fine with. Tara's nice, I can see why Glenn likes her. She's a loyal person and she's one of us now, despite her past. Everyone was in in the house now, including Daryl, I did go in and try to socialise but I just wanted to be on my own for a minute. The town looked nice at night, it actually looked like  normal civilisation, well minus the giant walls. The front door suddenly opened, pulling my gaze from the town. I looked up to see Glenn. He sent a small wave, which I returned with a smile. He then walked over to me, and sat down beside me.

"You ready to talk about it?" He asked.

"I was being stupid, I got all pissed because you asked Tara to come live with you and not me, but now, I don't mind. Tara's not so bad." I explained, looking up at him.

"Piper, I'm sorry, I guess you kinda slipped my mind because I thought you'd be staying with Daryl, and Daryl would wanna stay with Rick and-"

"Glenn, it's fine, seriously I'm okay with it but, you'd better still come hang out with me." I told him, trying to put on a serious face. Glenn laughed and nudged my shoulder with his.

"Everyday sis'." He agreed. I smiled as a comfortable silence fell over the two of us. I then nudged his shoulder again. "What?"

"Is it bad if I say, High five for today?" I questioned, holding up my hand. Letting out another laugh, Glenn clapped his hand against mine.

"High five for today." He spoke as we dropped our hands. "By the way, I've never seen you get so riled up before, our cuss so much, where the hell did that all come from?" He then asked, sending me a slightly shocked look.

"Honestly, I have no idea, I've never cussed so much in my life." I laughed. "What about you? What did Deanna say about you punching Aiden? Which I hate you for by the way, because I wanted to do it." I told him. Letting out a chuckle, Glenn scratched the back of his head.

"She thanked me for it." My jaw dropped.

"What? No way! Now I hate you even more." I whined, smacking his arm.

"Hey!" He called, laughing. Suddenly, Daryl stepped out onto the porch, making me smile up at him. "I'm gonna head in." Glenn told me.

"Okay, I'll be in soon." I smiled as he stood up and walked in. Daryl walked over and held his hand out to me.  Taking it, Daryl pulled me up and into his chest before wrapping his arm round me. Slightly shocked by the gesture, I hugged back, pressing my cheek against his chest and listening to the heartbeat. Pulling back, he wrapped his arms round my shoulders and smiled down at me. "What was that for?" I asked.

"No reason." He mumbled, pressing his forehead against mine. Closing my eyes, I smiled, enjoying the moment.

"Hey, are you okay now? After earlier?" I asked him, pulling back. Daryl let out a grunt, but nodded as he pulled out a cigarette. Lighting it, he sucked in the white smoke, before blowing out the cloud. He leant against the wooden railing and held the cigarette out to me, which I gladly accepted. I placed the bud between my lips and breathed in the toxins. Blowing out the cloud of smoke, I handed the cigarette back to him.

"How are you? After earlier?" He retorted. I smiled.

"Better, I'm glad Glenn punched him." I explained, leaning next to him. Daryl smirked and nodded slightly before taking another drag from his cigarette. Placing my head on his shoulder, I smiled, feeling content in this moment. Suddenly, Rick stepped out of the house, wearing a police uniform. It definitely brought memories back. I smiled at him, as Daryl blew out a cloud of smoke.

"We good?" Rick asked Daryl.

"Yeah. You a cop again?" Daryl retorted. Rick let out a sigh as he placed his hands in his pockets.

"I'm trying it on for size." Rick said, as Carol exited the other door and walked over to us.

"So we're staying?" I asked, as Carol looked up at me.

"I think we can start sleeping in our own homes. Settle in." Rick confirmed, looking up at me.

"If we get comfortable here, we let our guard down-- this place is gonna make us weak." Carol explained, seeming still un-nerved by this place.

"Carl said that but it's not gonna happen." Rick told her, walking to the edge of the patio. "We won't get weak. That's not in us anymore. We'll make it work and if they can't make it..." Rick began, turning back to us. "Then we'll just take this place." I looked up at Daryl, who sent me a short glance before looking up at Carol, who looked back at us.

"Hopefully, it won't come to that." I spoke before heading inside and over to Carl who was sat by Judith's crib. "Hey bud, I got another song for ya." I told him. Carl sent me a wide smile.

"Okay, sing!" He ordered.

"I haven't in a while, so don't if I mess up." I smirked. Carl shook his head. "I set out on a narrow way many years ago

Hoping I would find true love along the broken road

But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

That every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart, they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms

This much I know is true...That God blessed the broken road that led me straight to you." I sang, smiling widely when Maggie joined in on the last line.

"I haven't heard that song in so long." Maggie smiled. "I remember getting that letter from you telling me to listen to it." She explained. "I loved it right away."

"Me too, it was one of my favourite songs." I agreed, still smiling at her. "In a way, it's kinda us, we all followed this broken and it lead us to each other." I explained. "Made us form this strong group, that song could be our theme tune." I laughed.

"Nah, girl. Our theme tune is Seven Nation Army." Abraham told us, referring to the White Stripes song. Letting out a laugh, I nodded.

"Yeah, I think you're right." I agreed.

A seven nation army couldn't hold us back....could they?
