Chapter 53 - maybe you were just meant to save me

I can hear a faint, echoing beeping sound. I can feel someone holding my hand, not tight, but tight. I try and open my eyes, slowly, I get blinded and shut them tight again. I wait and try again. My eyes slowly adjust and I look around. Cam is sat bent over my bed.

Jess: c-a-m

He looked up and pulled me into a hug.

Cam: babe, you scared me so bad!

Soon a doctor and nurse came through.

Doctor: ah jessie, welcome back.

I gave a week smile,

Jess: w-when can I g-go ho-me?

Doctor: soon, I do wish to keep you in over night, just to make sure everything has settled down.

jess: what happned?

doctor: well your heart cant cope with the amount you are doing right now! you need to take a break now and then, have a day off or two everyweek, take a break or a day off when your tired or run out. jess this is serious, you were close to having a heart attack your friend was right to bring you in.

who brought me in?

jess: yeah... i will...

he soon left and i turned to cam.

jess: who brought me here? howd i get here? you?

cam: no, not me, i just got a call of danny. he brought you here...

jess: d-danny?

cam: yeah i think so, i think he is still here... wanna see him?

jess: *sigh* yeah...

he kissed my forehead and got up. danny? why would he care so much?soon the door opens and danny steps in- shyly.

jess: um, thank you, you saved my life...

danny: its nothing, really, just looking out for a old friend...

jess: please sit, you make the atmosphere to thick...

i try not laugh at my stupidity and pulled a chair up.

danny: so, whats wrong then?

jess: my heart... cant cope.

danny: heard that before... can still remember the day you collapsed...

jess: yeah... did shut you all up though...

danny: yeah... so apart from becoming a huge pop star, how you been?

jess: great yeah, well most of it.. you?

danny: ive been good, why not all of it?

jess: oh nothing.

danny: jess your just as shit a lier as you were back then...

he has always been in the few who can tell when im lying.

jess: just everything has chnged. i nearly became a mum, and ive got a number one single, a new album coming out soon and just BOOM everything is different...

danny: y-you were pregnant?!

jess: oh yeah... i lost it though... i dont wanna talk about it really...

danny: sorry

jess: its fine.. how have you been then?

danny: well, the script took off and we have just come back from our tour of america! me and irma are back together, she has a daughter, so im a step daddy. thats about it really...
