"Peter!" Someone yelled. "You have to listen to me!"

Peter's head felt foggy, and there was a constant ringing in his ears. He coughed, holding his side as an intense pain was suddenly present.

"You need to get up! We don't have much time!" Peter cracked his eye open a tiny bit, seeing bright orange flames.

"Wha--" He tried to ask, but was interrupted by a series of harsh coughs taking over his body.

"We have to go!" The person yelled. He tried to match that voice to a face, but was failing miserably.

The person hoisted him up, and helped him walk. "C'mon Web-Head." The person grunted, their voice coming out a little clearer.

Peter looked around and saw that he was at home. Aunt May was lying on the floor, dead. "Au--" He coughed harshly again, the taste of copper dancing on his tongue.

"Don't talk." The person told him sternly. "We have to get you out." Peter looked at the person, immediately identifying them as Sam.

Sam had some blood and ash on his face, but his expression was intense. "S--" He coughed again, wincing.

"What did I just say?!" Sam frowned.

Peter's memory came back in fragments. The others went out for lunch, but Peter and Sam decided to stay back and play some video games.

Peter was sat closest to the window, and was laughing when suddenly his spidey sense went off and something orange flew into the room and landed right next to him.

Peter and Sam slowly made it outside, and Peter instantly collapsed against the pavement.

Peter could see a dark red liquid flowing out of his side, and he held a hand against it as he groaned.

Sam had apparently just noticed the injury, his eyes widened and in an instant he had ripped off a part of his shirt and was pressing it against Peter's side.

"Okay Peter, I have a really important mission for you, I know how good you are at missions. It's really easy, all you need to do is stay awake. Can you do that?" Sam asked. He took Peter's whimper as a yes.

Sam pulled out his phone, and prayed to God that it still worked. He was overjoyed to find that it did.

Peter faded out for a second, and Sam's eyes widened.

"Hey, no. Keep those eyes on me." Sam snapped to get Peter's attention as he dialed 911. Peter drowsily blinked as he looked at Sam.

"Hello, 911, what's the address of your emergency?"

"20 Ingram Street." Sam told the operator hastily.

"Ingram Street?"

"Yes." Sam breathed out. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Peter's eyes close for a secon. "No, stay with me." Sam furrowed his brow as he lightly slapped Peter's cheek.

"Can you explain to me what happened?" The operator asked.

"Um, me and my roommate were playing video games at our house. Well, more like his aunt's house. We're still in highschool so we live with her. I don't know exactly what happened but I think someone bombed us." Sam huffed, his adrenaline wearing off slightly.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I have a few bruises but nothing major."

"What about your friend?"

"Um, no. He's bleeding really badly." Sam pursed his lips. "He's losing a lot of blood fast, and is fading in and out of consciousness." Peter's eyes were closed when he looked at him. "No no no, hey. Look at me." He ordered his friend quietly.

Peter coughed as his eyes opened.

"Right, was his aunt home?"

"Yeah...yeah, she uh," Sam sighed shakily. "She's dead. When the explosion happened she landed wrong and snapped her neck."

"And what's your name?"

"Sam Alexander."

"Right Sam, what kind of bomb was it?"

"Um, I didn't really get a good look at it but it operated like a grenade."

"So it was thrown in?"

"Yeah, it crashed through the window and landed on the couch next to my friend."

"HOLY SHIT!" Someone yelled.

Sam looked up and saw the rest of the team running towards them, a bag of food was discarded on the ground.

"What was that?" The operator asked.

"Oh, those are our other roommates. They had gone out for lunch." Sam breathed heavily, suddenly incredibly tired.

"So they weren't there at the time of the explosion?"

"Can you just send an ambulance?!" Sam yelled, frustrated. "My friend is dying!"

"They're on their way." The operator told him. "Can you stay on the phone with me, Sam?"

"I can't...I'm tired." Sam huffed, shifting his weight so he was more comfortable.

"What happened?!" Ava yelled as she fell on her knees next to them.

"...bomb..." Sam's eyes rolled into the back of his head and he passed out.

"Shit!" Luke yelled as he caught Sam's head before it could hit the pavement.

Danny picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Who is this?" The operator asked. "Is this one of the roommates?"

"Yes, it is." Danny nodded as he handed Ava his headband and watched her press it against Peter's side.

"What happened to Sam?"

"He passed out." Danny told the operator. "I'm assuming from stress."

"And your name is?"

"Daniel Rand. I prefer to go by Danny."

Luke snapped his fingers in front of Peter's face. "I know you're tired but I need you to stay awake just a little longer."

"Okay Danny, the ambulance is just a minute away."

"Thank you." Danny sighed.

"I'm going to hang up now, okay?"

"Okay." Danny put the phone down as soon as he heard a click.

Danny looked back towards the house, which was in flames. "Aunt May." He mumbled, his eyes widening.

"..she's dead." Peter choked out quietly, making everyone freeze. "...Sam said...landed on neck wrong...it snapped." He huffed out.

"Shh, don't talk. Save your strength." Ava ordered him gently.

A few neighbors had gathered around and were watching in concern.

Sirens were heard in the distance, and Luke nearly sobbed in relief.

They would be okay.

But Green Goblin would not.

A/N:

I feel like this was very vague as to what happened.
