I stepped out of the elevator and into the lobby where I check my mail. As soon as I stepped out of the lift, my eyes landed on the one person I didn't want to see.
Kim Seokjin.
He lives on the same floor as me and we do not get along. At all.
I straightened my posture and strode over to the mail compartments lining the wall. Jin and I exchanged distasteful glances before I unlocked my mail box, retrieving the contents inside and hurrying back to the elevator. Seconds later, Jin came walking towards it. I quickly reached over, pressing the "close door" button, not wanting to be stuck on an elevator with him.
"Hey!" He shouted, running over, only to have the doors close in his face.
I smirked victoriously, leaning against the wall of the elevator.

Once I was on my floor, I stepped off, heading back to my apartment.

I sifted through my mail, dropping it onto the coffee table. Just as I was about to sit down on the couch, there was a knock at my door. I sighed, shuffling to the entryway to answer it.
Lo and behind, there was Jin, looking rather angry, if I might add.
"You know I hate when you do that." He snapped, referring to the elevator thing.
"I know." I smiled. "That's why I did it."
He clenched his jaw.
"Look, I'm doing you a favor. You don't like me, I don't like you. I only closed the door on you so we don't have to be stuck in an elevator together."
Jin gave me an unimpressed look.
"Alright, did you just come here to complain to me?"
"Yes." He huffed.
"Okay, well, you've done that. So, goodbye." I slammed the door in his face, a grin tugging at my lips.

My arms were weighed down with groceries; I had just carried for over a block. My forelimbs ached as I lugged the bags up the front steps of my apartment building. I saw someone step inside the elevator when I entered the structure.
"Excuse me! Could you hold the door?" I called.
I saw the doors begin to close, making me pick up the pace. Once I neared the elevator, I saw Jin inside. It now made sense why he ignored my earlier request.
"Jin, please." I begged.
He stared right at me and didn't bother to stop the doors.
"I have an armful of groceries!" I shouted.
Jin waved with a grin as the doors slid shut.
I let out an aggravated groan, waiting for the elevator to return.
I stepped inside, pressing the button for floor eight. I sighed, waiting until the elevator arrived on my floor.
When I stepped out, I saw Jin down the hallway unlocking his apartment door.
"Hey!" I shouted.
He turned towards me, his eyes wide.
"Thanks a lot, jerk!" I called out before turning on my heel and stomping down the hall.
"It couldn't have been that bad. You just had to wait for a minute for the elevator to return." Jin stated.
I ignored him, struggling to pull my keys out and unlock my door. I gave him a sharp glare, making sure he could feel it from all the way down the hall before I stepped inside my apartment.
The bags of groceries landed with a thud on the countertop as I quite literally dropped them. I rubbed my wrists and forearms where dark pink lines were beginning to form.
"Great." I grumbled, beginning to put away the groceries, silently cursing Jin for being so inconsiderate.

The next day I had plans to go out and have a nice evening alone at a nearby restaurant.
I slipped my bag over my shoulder, ready to head out and grab dinner. I closed my door, making sure to lock it before I turned around, heading towards the elevator. I paused when I saw Jin sitting on the floor outside his apartment. I smirked, walking over to him.
"Aw. You're locked out." I pouted.
"Shut up." He snapped.
I just laughed and walked away.
"Karma sucks, doesn't it?" I called, before stepping onto the elevator.

I returned from my little outing a couple hours later absolutely stuffed, but very happy and ready to sleep.
I took notice of the fact that Jin was no longer sitting in the hallway. I assumed maybe the landlord was able to help get him back inside as I unlocked my own apartment door. I paused, realizing the door was already unlocked. This was alarming considering the fact that I definitely locked it before I left. Slowly, I turned the knob, the door swinging open. I could hear the tv on along with squeaky laughter coming from the living room. My jaw clenched unconsciously as I stepped inside, finding no other than Jin sitting on my couch, watching tv.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be back in your own apartment by now?" I asked shortly.
"Actually, no. As you so graciously pointed out earlier, I'm locked out."
"How did you even get in here?"
"It's a rookie mistake leaving your spare key under the doorframe." He pulled out said object, making my jaw clenched.
I snatched the key from him hand. "Get out." I pointed.
"I can't. The landlord is visiting his granddaughter and won't be back until tomorrow. I have to stay with you."
"No." I shut him down immediately.
"Look, you're the last person I wanna stay with, but I don't have a choice. I don't have anyone I can stay with."
"Actually, you do have a choice. You can sleep in the hallway outside your apartment."
"What if I get robbed?"
"What makes you think you have anything of value?"
"Well, just look at me." He gestured to his face. "It wouldn't be a surprise if someone kidnapped me."
I rolled my eyes at his obnoxious cockiness.
"Look, it'll just be overnight. That's it." He told me.
I took in a deep breath, battling with myself for a moment, going back and forth between yes and no. Jin is annoying and neither of us like each other, but I can't leave him with no place to stay.
"Fine, but only for tonight." I caved.
"Great." He stretched out on the couch, placing one of the throw pillows behind his head. "Hey." He pointed. "What's up with your arms?"
I glanced down at the slightly pink marks lining my forearms.
"That's from the groceries I carried for over a block yesterday." I informed him snappily.
"Oh." He murmured.
"Goodnight." I grumbled, walking out of the room, not giving Jin a chance to say anything.
