I walked down the hallway of the Hybe building, heading to the hair and makeup room. A rush of excitement pumped through my body.
I applied for a job here as a makeup artist for BTS and, to my surprise, I got hired. Apparently, they were pretty impressed with my work. They seemed rather eager to hire me.
I paused just outside the door to the hair and makeup room, taking in a deep breath before entering. The boys of BTS were already inside, staff members bustling around the room. Everyone's gaze was on me as I stepped in. That didn't bother me, though. I was more focused on seeing one of the members. My eyes immediately landed on the one member I was looking forward to seeing.

"Y/n!" Namjoon stood up from the black leather couch.
"Hi, Joon." I greeted him, hurrying over to get a brief hug. "It's been so long."
"It has. When was the last time we talked? It had to have been after we debut."
"Yeah. I think a year after your debut was the last time we spoke."
"Wow. I'm so sorry for not keeping in contact." Namjoon apologized.
"No worries. You were busy, I understand. You still are. But hey, now we work at the same place. I actually can't believe it." I chuckled. "I mean, I'm working here."
"Well, there are people who can put in a good word here and there." He looked away with a grin.
"You didn't."
"I did." He grinned. "When I heard you had done an interview here I had to let them know how talented you are. You deserve to work here."
"Namjoon, you sneak." I gave him a light punch on the arm. "I can't believe you would do that for me."
"We've known each other for so long, how could I not?"
"I appreciate it, really."
"Who's this getting close with our Joonie?" Hoseok asked, walking up to the two of us.
"This is Y/n." Namjoon grinned.
"Your old friend from Ilsan?"
"The very same."
"Welcome!" Hoseok greeted brightly with a hug. "We've heard lots about you."
"All good, I hope."
"Of course." Hoseok said, turning to the rest of the members. "Guys, this is Namjoon's friend, Y/n."
Everyone flashed kind smiles, small waves, and a few hellos.
"So, which one of these lovely boys are you doing makeup for?" Namjoon asked me once Hoseok had stepped away.
"Taehyung." I answered, somewhat shyly.
"Ah." He grinned, cheekily.
Before Namjoon and I lost contact, he had asked me which member caught my eye and I told him Taehyung. There's no doubt that's what he was thinking about.
I raised my brows, expecting him to make some comment about me ending up as Taehyung's makeup artist, but he didn't. Instead, he gave me a bright smile.
"Well, I'm glad you're here with us, Y/n."
"Me too. I missed you a lot."

Just then, a man stepped into the room, informing us that the boys had a press meeting in an hour.
"Guess it's time to get to work." I rubbed my hands in anticipation.
"Good luck. You're gonna do great." Namjoon gave me a thumbs up before heading to one of the makeup chairs.
As he walked past Taehyung, I heard him say, "You're in good hands."

I made sure Taehyung was following me before I made my way over to one of the stations where he took a seat.
"I know Hoseok kinda announced to everyone who I am, but I'd like to properly introduce myself. I'm Y/n."
"I'm Taehyung. But, I'm sure you already knew that."
"I did. But, it feels more personal hearing it from you."
He gave me a small smile.
"Alright." I clasped my hands together. "I suppose we should get started."
I grabbed an oil sheet and began blotting Taehyung's skin, making sure to get any excess oils off his face before applying foundation. I made sure to keep the coverage light around his forehead, eyes, and corners of his mouth. I grabbed a new oil sheet and started to remove some of the foundation on his nose and the bottom part of his lip.
"What are you doing?" Taehyung asked.
"I think your moles are cute and you look nice with them. I don't want to cover them up with makeup."
"Oh." His eyes widened a little, his cheeks tinted pink.
I moved on, not realizing I had made such a bold comment to him. Well, not until I started doing his eyebrows. It hit me all at once and suddenly I was painfully aware of what I had just said to him moments ago.
Instead of bringing anything up, I chose to just continue with his makeup and pretend I didn't say what I just did.
