"Hey babe." Jimin greets, walking straight through my front door.
I ignore the fluttering of my heart at the way he so casually uses the pet name and decide to scold him instead.
"I gave you an extra key for emergencies. Not so you could barge in any time you please."
"This is an emergency." He answers plainly.
"How so?" I question.
"I missed you." He pouted cutely, dropping down beside me on the couch.
"Don't lie."
"I'm not." He looked at me using his lethal and insanely effective puppy eyes.
"Well, you didn't have to come all the way over here just for that." I huff, looking away.
"Course I did." He grinned, his arm making its way around my shoulders. "So, what are we doing today?"
"We aren't doing anything."
"Alright. We don't have to do anything." He leaned back against the couch cushions.
"This is the third time this week you've stopped by. I'm starting to think you like me or something."
"Maybe I do." He smirked in response.
"Yeah, whatever." I roll my eyes.
"Hey! Why don't we go out for lunch?"
"Why?"
"Because I want to spend time with my Y/n. Plus, I'm starving." He frowned, placing his hand on his stomach.
"I don't know." I shake my head.
"I'll pay for everything if that sweetens the deal."
I look over, suddenly intrigued.
"Please? It'll be fun."
"Well, if you're paying for it." I say. "I can't turn down free food."
"Alright!" Jimin clapped.
"I should go get ready." I pushed myself up off the couch and walk away to my room.

While choosing my outfit, I keep in mind that I want to wear something nice to impress Jimin. I won't let him know that though. My fingers ghost over the edges of my hangers as I select my shirt for the afternoon. I don't want to make it look like I'm trying too hard. I also want to dress comfortably.
I don't want to keep Jimin waiting so I rush with my hair and makeup, the whole process, including choosing an outfit, took about fifteen minutes. I hurry out of my room, smoothing my hair out. Jimin's attention is immediately drawn to me when I enter the room. He stands up, his wide eyes trailing down my body.

"Maybe we shouldn't go out. Someone might steal you away from me."
"What? D-don't say stuff like that." I start to blush.
"I'm teasing." He giggled. "C'mon."
His hand reached for mine, his fingers lacing with mine. My face got even hotter at the simple gesture.
Once we got in the car, he made sure I was buckled up before driving away.
I stared out the window, watching the houses and businesses pass by. Every once in a while I'd glance over at Jimin, admiring is side profile. The way his nose was just perfect and the way his full lips stuck out, looking like a cute little pouty duckling. Even the way his hair fell in front of his face is perfect. I could feel my heart swell in my chest at the sight. I know I've fallen hard for Jimin, I just won't say it. I don't think he feels the same, but then again, he's constantly calling me pet names, complimenting me, and saying things that a best friend wouldn't normally say. I wish I just knew how he really felt.
I was so deep in my thoughts, I didn't realize I was staring at Jimin.

"Y/n?" He softly called out my name.
"Hm? Yeah?" I blink a few times, returning to reality.
"You alright?"
"Yeah. Just thinking."
"About what?"
"You." I answer honestly.
A flirtatious smirk begins to play at his lips.
"Yeah?" He quirked a brow. "What about me?"
"It's nothing." I turn away, my face burning.
"Alright then. I won't force you to say anything you don't want to."
I was thankful he decided to drop it.
The drive was short and quiet. Neither of us spoke much, which was normal for us. Sometimes just being in each other's presence is enough. I remember lots of times where I had horrible days and came home a sobbing mess. I'd call Jimin and he would come over right away. A reminiscent smile makes its way on my face. He would just hold me, not saying a word. It always felt nice to be held closely to him.

"Hey. We're here." He notified me.
"Oh." I noticed we were parked on the side of the street.
"C'mon! Let's go." Jimin giggled excitedly, getting out of the car.
I followed behind, my reminiscent thoughts of him still lingering.
"I thought we were going out to eat." I speak.
"We are. I was thinking we could walk around the city for a while before we go."
"Alright." I shrug.
