"Look! Over here." A 7-year-old Yoongi pointed, a magnifying glass in hand.
You rushed over, peering into the magnifier to see a trail of tiny ants marching between the blades of grass below.
"They're leading us right to their hideout." He whispered. "Let's follow them."
You and Yoongi followed the insects until you came upon a rather large ant hill.
"I wonder what they're doing." You spoke.
"Let's look for clues and find out."

The two of you searched the area, a gasp leaving your mouth when you spotted a small chunk of bread in the grass. It was covered in ants.
"Kitty! Come over here." You motioned.

You never knew his name, nor did he know yours. You just called him Kitty because he reminded you of a cat. He called you Foxy because you were cute like a baby fox. It was odd that neither of you had properly introduced yourselves, but after giving each other nicknames, it felt like you didn't need introducing.

"What is it, Foxy? Have you found something?"
"Yes!" You pointed. "There's ants all over this piece of bread. Let's use your magnifying glass to get a closer look."
"Good idea."
Yoongi held up the magnifier, peering through it.
"They're carrying crumbs."
"They must be taking them back to their hideout." You hypothesized.
"You're a genius, Foxy." He beamed. "We make a good team. Let's promise to become the most famous detective duo in South Korea, okay?"
"Okay." You smiled.

Years passed and the two of you were growing up, but you kept that same promise to become a famous detective duo.
Unfortunately, your mom got sick. You were only 10.
After you went overseas to be with your mom, you and Yoongi wrote letters back-and-forth and tried to keep in touch. You would give him updates on your mom and he would tell you what was going on in his life and how much he missed you. Then, one day the letters stopped and the two of you lost contact.

*present day*

An immense feeling of excitement ran through you as you walked the streets of Seoul. It felt good to be back in Korea after all these years. Your mother had gotten better, thankfully, and you were able to move back to Korea.
Though you were over the moon about coming back, you couldn't help but wonder what happened to your old friend, Kitty.
The first place you decided to go to was his house, but when you got there, a completely different family had moved into the home. Your childhood friend was nowhere to be found.

You couldn't worry too much about it, as you had a job to go to. While taking care of your mom, you managed to get your name out there as a private detective. You solved a handful of small cases, but managed to gain some traction. Because of that, you were contacted by a detective agency in Korea. They showed a lot of interest in you and secured a position at their company once you moved back.

You walked up to a rather small building. It was a little dingy and didn't look like much at all. You weren't even sure you were at the right place. Glancing up at the sign, you saw the words: M.Y.G Detective Agency printed in bold letters.
"So this is the right place." You murmured.
In all honesty, it looked less like a detective agency and more like a small business.
Reluctantly, you stepped forward, entering the tiny structure. The inside was a bit messy. A desk covered in papers sat at the corner of the room along with many filing cabinets. Some of the drawers appeared to be left open, making the space look even more unkempt. A few rickety-looking chairs lined the walls, a table situated in front of them.

"Hello?" You called out, the door creaking shut behind you.
The place seemed empty. You looked at the two chairs in front of the messy desk, wondering if you should take a seat or not.
The door to a back storage room flung open as a dark-haired man hurried out, catching you by surprise.
"Hello." He greeted you, his voice deep, his tone relaxed and calm.
He was beautiful. His hair was pushed back out of his face, showing off a set of sharp brows and intense, yet soft eyes. His nose was small and button-like; his lips were slightly pouty and the prettiest shade of pink you'd ever seen. You couldn't help but wonder if he was wearing lip tint or if his lips really were that gorgeous color.
"Are you Y/n?" He asked, sitting down behind his desk.
"Yes." You nodded.
"Have a seat." He gestured to one of the chairs sitting in front of his desk.
You sat down, hesitantly, wary of the worn leather seat.
"I'm Min Yoongi, owner of this business and freelance detective."
"Nice to meet you." You responded.
