The requester asked to remain anonymous

The sun shined down on Jimin and I as we made our way through a flower garden; the light and refreshing breeze blowing through my hair. I admired the wide variety of blooms surrounding us: vibrant purple alliums swaying in the breeze, the globe-shape making the flowers resemble something from a Dr. Seuss book, stunning butterfly bushes were planted throughout the garden, attracting the namesake to its sweet nectar, and dianthus of every color scattered about.

I had a thick blanket tossed over my arm, while Jimin carried a picnic basket. The grass tickled my ankles as we made our way through the garden. I had removed my sandals and was carrying them in my hand, as I wanted to feel the lush grass under my feet and really enjoy nature. My eyes scanned the surroundings for a spot to set up our picnic. I spot a large tree, pointing towards it.
"Oh!" Both me and Jimin spoke up at once, causing us to giggle.
"Did you see the tree, too?" He asked.
"I did."

Just a few feet away from us sat a large tree with a thick trunk and many branches covered in foliage that were perfect for providing shade. The two of us made our way over to the towering evergreen.
"It's perfect." Jimin commented aloud.
"I agree. I think this is the spot."
And with that, we chose a place to have our picnic and I began laying the blanket out.
I sat down on the blanket, Jimin getting situated beside me. My eyes immediately shifted to the basket he brought, my mouth watering as I thought of the variety of snacks inside. I reached over to open up the treasure trove, retrieving a bowl of grapes. I pulled back the plastic wrap and laid down on the blanket, staring at the sky.

Thanks to the large tree, I was able to gaze at the fluffy clouds above without having to squint my eyes too much.
The gentle and refreshing breeze caressed my face and legs, the fabric of my sundress being shifted a bit, tickling my skin.
I reached over and grabbed a grape, popping it into my mouth, savoring the sweet flavor.

Jimin shifted beside me, reaching into the picnic basket and pulling out a small poetry book. I glanced over and watched him flip through it.
"Can you read some out loud?" I requested.
"Of course."
He thumbed through a few more pages before stopping and clearing his throat and reading.

"Meeting you was like listening to a song for the first time and knowing it would be my favorite."

I smiled softly hearing the poem, thinking about when Jimin and I first met.
He continued to read a few more as I laid and listened, snacking on my grapes.
Jimin looked away from the book momentarily, reaching for the bowl of grapes. My eyes snapped towards him and playfully smacked his hand away from the bowl. He giggled, then gave me the most adorable pout, to which I relented, allowing him to have some.
He ate just a few more grapes before moving his attention back to the poetry book in his hand.

"This one is called Sanctuary by Clariel Estevez." He read. "You took me where cosmos bloom with the euphoric spell of a lovesome kiss. Your arms held me like a dreamier moment, that you wished to engrave in your heart and your skin. We spoke of how the sun is never crescent — and how the moon, is not always full."
His voice was silky and soft as the beautiful words left his mouth. As he read, I couldn't help but think about how Jimin and I have such a perfect and happy life together. We have a stunning little apartment that we share and we somehow always have time for each other. Despite us living together, we don't have many arguments, and if we do, they're resolved rather quickly.
"We spoke of how you are mine, completely. And my soul — my body, belong only to you." He finished reading the poem, closing the book and placing it back into the basket. He then moved the nearly empty bowl of grapes away from me and laid down. I lifted my head, allowing him to put his arm under my neck. He moved closer, tangling his legs with mine and clinging to me like a koala.
"That was a nice poem." I commented. "It was beautiful."
"It was. Maybe I could read more."
"Later. I want to stay like this for a while." I murmured, snuggling closer to Jimin.
His dark brown irises met mine, his fingers delicately brushing my hair away from my face. He smiled softly at me, the gentle and fond kind of smile you give someone you're absolutely head-over-heels for. His eyes wandered all over my face, admiring my features. How did I know? I could see the way his eyes gleamed and glimmered with adoration as he gazed down at me.
He licked his lips, inching his face closer to mine. His eyelids began closing as he edged closer, his lips just brushing against mine, sending a tingling sensation across my skin.
I was patient, but also yearned for his kiss at the same time. Then, finally, he placed his soft and supple lips upon mine, staying there for a long moment, relishing the feeling before pulling away briefly. He then dove back in for a longer and more passionate kiss, his lips moving slowly against mine, feeling every curve and crevice with his own.
When he finally pulled away, he nuzzled his face in the crook of my neck, letting out a content sigh.

"I love you." He murmured, lovingly.
"I love you too."
