I stare out at the dark and gloomy sky outside. The thick, gray clouds swirled in the sky as big, harsh raindrops pounded the window; a long trail of lightning flashing briefly in the sky. Moments later, a loud boom of thunder sounded through the air, the apartment practically vibrating with the thunderous reverberation. I cross my arms over my chest, staring at the dreary sight outside.

"Babe, what are you doing?" Yoongi's voice asks softly from behind me.
I turn my head, seeing him leaned against the door frame.
"Watching the storm." I answer bleakly. "I was kind of hoping we could go out on a date."
"Who says we have to go out?"
I cock a brow, my interest piqued by his question. "What did you have in mind?"
"Call in an order for delivery, curl up on the couch and play some video games or watch a movie. Whatever you want to do."
"That actually sounds perfect for a day like this."
"I know." He grinned with a shrug. "We should start this date night off by getting in some comfortable clothes."
"Good idea." I nod, walking over to the closet and pulling out one of Yoongi's black hoodies as if it were nothing.
Yoongi cocked a brow as he watched me walk to the other side of the room to grab some sweatpants. I gave him a small wave before slipping out of the room to change.

When I came back, he was in one of his large white shirts and some black sweats, a blanket in his arms. He stopped for a moment, looking me over, a smile playing at his soft lips.
"You look cute." He complimented quietly, quickly moving past it by saying, "You ready?"
I nod and follow him into the living room where we adjust the pillows and lay out the blanket.
"What are we gonna eat?" Yoongi questioned, pulling out his his phone.
"Pizza for sure."
"Sounds good." He dialed the number for the nearest pizza place and placed an order for a large pizza with our favorite toppings on it.
"Alright." Yoongi sighed, taking a seat next to me on the couch. "I'll be about twenty minutes."
"That's just enough time to play a few rounds of Mario Cart if you're up for it." I glance over at him.
"You're on."

Minutes later were sitting on the edge of the couch, tilting our bodies with our remotes as our eyes are glued to the tv. It's the third lap and I was hot on Yoongi's tail, about to pass him when he threw a shell at me, causing my whole car to spin to a stop.
"Hey!" I shout, pressing the buttons on the controller quickly, my racer slowly gaining speed and getting back into the race. At this point, Yoongi had gotten way ahead of me. I didn't have any boosters at the moment, so all I can do is hope I see a big mystery booster box ahead. As I round the corner my eyes spot what I so desperately needed. I drove straight into the mystery box, a speed booster popping up on my screen.
"Yes!" I exclaim, using it right away.
I zoom forward, surpassing Yoongi by a few feet. My legs shook with excitement and anticipation as I saw the finish line in the distance. My heart pounded in my chest as I I neared the checkered line, passing it, Yoongi following just seconds later.
"I WON!" I exclaimed, jumping up of with couch with my arms raised in victory.
Yoongi watched me amusedly, a smirk on his face as he leaned back against the couch.
"Let's play again!" I turn to him.
"Oka-" A knock at the door cuts Yoongi off. "There's the pizza. Let's eat first, then we'll have a rematch."

I sit down on the couch, a small smile still lingering on my lips.
"Who wants pizza?" Yoongi announced, placing the large box on the coffee table in front of me.
"Gimme!" I reach out towards the pizza.
"Be patient." He swats my hand away lightly. "Let me get us some plates and something to drink."
"Alright then." I huff, dropping my head onto the couch cushion.
He leaves the room and returns moments later with plates and a drink for each of us.
"Here." He hands me a paper plate. "Dig in."
I open the box and grab one of the biggest slices inside, placing it on my plate and taking a bite.
"Mmm." I sigh. "Nothing like an extra cheesy pizza after a game of Mario Cart."
"I'm good at planning dates, huh?" Yoongi smirked proudly, taking a sip of his drink.
"Yes. This is perfect."
"And we've only just started." He pointed out.

The two of us went through half a box of pizza before getting back to our video game.

"I'm not gonna let you win this time." Yoongi announced, leaning forward.
"Bet."
He shoots me a glare before speeding ahead, clearly using one of his boosters.
"Hey!" I shout. "Get back here!"
Yoongi laughs, rounding a corner way ahead of me.
My fingers press harshly on the controllers, as if that will help me move faster.
There was a couple times that I was able to get near Yoongi, but I was never able to pass him and he ended up winning.
His eyes glimmered as his cheeks became rounder with the growing gummy smile spreading across his face. I couldn't stop my heart from flipping at the sight.
"You won fair and square." I stated. "Now we're even."
Yoongi set his controller down and turned to me. "You wanna play one more round or watch a movie?"
"How about we watch a movie. You can pick."
He ended up choosing a movie that the both of us have seen at least ten times, but I didn't mind. As long as I get to spend time with him, I'm happy.
The sound of the rain outside was just background noise as the two of us watched the tv, munching on room temp pizza. I drank the last of my drink, leaning back on the couch and moving closer to Yoongi. His arm snaked around my shoulders, pulling me into him as he kept his eyes on the television screen. I smiled softly, tugging the blanket up over me a little further and snuggling into the crook of Yoongi's neck, pressing a soft kiss to his jawline. He chuckled lightly in response. I continued to trail kisses up his jawline and to his cheek, bringing my finger under his chin and turning his face towards me.
"What are you doing?" He asked with a grin.
"Kissing you." I answer simply.
"We're watching a movie, though."
"We've seen it a hundred times." I mutter, pressing a kiss to his lips. "You're not missing anything."
He complies, closing his eyes and kissing me back, forgetting about the movie. His hands moved around my waist, hugging me closely as his lips moved against mine. It was a long, sweet kiss that lasted a few minutes, sending chills down my spine. Our lips parted and Yoongi grabbed me, pulling me down into a lying position with him. I rest my head on his chest, snuggling closely to him.

"Thank you for tonight." I mutter sleepily.
"You're welcome, baby." His fingers play with strands of my hair as he glances at the tv. "I'm not even interested in the movie anymore." He stated. "I just want to lie here with you."
"Fine by me." I smile softly, closing my eyes.

The rest of our night was spent holding each other and just being in each other's presence. In all honesty, I wouldn't have spent tonight any differently.

I recently updated my phone to iOS 14 and I literally only did it so I could get the pinched finger/chefs kiss hand emoji. 🤌🏻
