I got out of my car, swinging my bag over my shoulder and heading towards the building where my first class of the day was. I feel a small tickle somewhere on the back of my head. I reach up, scratching the area as fast as I can. Letting out a sigh, I smooth my hair out and finish making my way to class.

My head has been itchy for days and I'm almost certain I've gotten fleas. This happens after almost every full moon. I shift and go running through the woods, as one does. I usually stay out all night too. Unfortunately, I wake up the next day itching like crazy. Maybe I should force myself to stay inside on full moons? No. I'd go insane not being able to go out.

I reach up and scratch my head again, making a mental note to stop by the local vet after school. I would buy over the counter flea medicine, but it won't do.
I have my hand buried in my hair, my nails scratching rapidly against my scalp. I'm so focused on relieving the itch that I bump into someone.

"Oh. Sorry." A deep, smooth voice speaks.
I freeze, looking up at the tall, tanned, buff man in front of me.

I haven't seen him here before.

"Uh..." I quickly pull my hand from my hair and start to rapidly smooth it out. "Sorry. I must not have been watching where I was going." I chuckle nervously.
"It's fine. No worries." He shoots me a bright, dimpled smile that makes my heart melt.

I think I'm in love.

"Anyway, have a nice day." He waved as he walked off.
"Y-yeah. You too."

His scent lingered in the air. A musky scent that reminded me of the woods. I felt my heart thump hard just once. I clutched my chest, my heart rate going back to normal. It's something I've never felt before.
It was hard to shake that man from my mind. It's even worse that he shares a class with me. That made it so hard to stop thinking about him. On the bright side, it was a nice distraction from the fleas.

I step into the veterinarian's office and go straight to the front desk, a familiar musky scent taking over my senses. I look up and see the insanely cute guy I ran into in the hallway today.

"It's you." I say with wide eyes.
"Yes. It's me." He chuckled. "I'm Namjoon, by the way."
"Namjoon, sorry. I'm Y/n."
"Y/n." He repeated. "Nice to meet you."
"Likewise. So, you work here?"
"Part time. I'm working on becoming a veterinarian. They were nice enough to hire me to give me some practice. Apparently I'm pretty good with animals." He grinned brightly, his adorable dimples appearing. "Anyway, what can I help you with today?"
"I have a persription for flea medicine I need to get refilled." I hand over the empty bottle of medicine, a prescription sticker with my name on it. "It's... for my dog." I lie.
"Hm. Okay." He nodded, examining the bottle. "I'll be right back."
I watch as he disappears around the corner. I unconsciously start fiddling with a loose string on my hoodie sleeve. Why did I say it's for my dog? I don't have to say that. If I come to a vet for flea medicine it's obviously for my (nonexistent) dog. I don't have to justify that.
When I get nervous, I ramble and say unnecessarily stupid things.

"Here you go."
I look up, not noticing Namjoon was back already.
"This is a different kind of flea medicine. It's much better than the one you had a prescription for."
"Oh, okay. How much?" I ask, reaching into my bag to retrieve my wallet.
"I'll take care of it." He offered.
"No. I can't let you do that."
"It's fine." He set the medicine on the counter. "Put a couple drops of this in your sha- I mean, your dog's shampoo and give them a bath. The fleas will be gone by morning. Promise."
"Wow. You sound so sure. How do you know?"
"I have a dog at home too." He gave me a small, friendly smile.
"Thank you for this." I hold the bottle up.
"No problem. I'll see you at school tomorrow."
"Yeah. See you tomorrow."
