You fiddled nervously with your pencil as you watched Taehyung laughing and cutting up with his friends.
His smile is so pretty. You thought to yourself, staring dreamily at him.
He's the most popular guy in school, there's no way you would have a chance with him. Plus, he's way out of your league. You were so painfully aware of that fact, yet all you could think about was confessing to him.
You might make a fool of yourself because one, you don't know him too well, and two, you're not popular. The odds were against you.

Despite that, you had planned to tell him how you felt after school. It was a big risk, but Taehyung has always been so nice to you and doesn't seem like the type to judge, so even if you get turned down, it won't be that bad. At least, you hope it won't.

The bell rang signaling the end of the school day. Your heart began to pound faster, as you knew the moment you'd been both dreading and anticipating was approaching. You gathered your things, as well as your courage, and made your way to Taehyung who was standing at the back of the room, chatting with his friends. You waited a few moments for them to leave before you made your move.
You cleared your throat, making your presence known before speaking up.

"Hi, Taehyung."
"Oh. Hey, Y/n." He greeted you warmly. "What are you doing here?"
"I just... wanted to say hi." You lied.
"That's nice of you. How are you today?"
"I'm good."
"That pop quiz today in history class was a doozie, huh?"
"Y-yeah. I think I did okay on it, though."
You mentally smacked yourself for stuttering.
"That's good." He nodded.
You stood there for what seemed like forever, unable to get your thoughts in order enough to speak.

"Is everything alright?" Taehyung asked, tilting his head slightly.
"Actually, there's something that I wanted to tell you."
"Okay."
"I know that we don't know each other that well, I mean we're hardly even acquaintances, but I like you."
Taehyung's warm and friendly expression fell.
"I've actually liked you for a while. I've just been too nervous to say anything."
Your hands were shaking like crazy and your heart felt like it was going to burst out of your chest, but you felt good for being brave and putting yourself out there.
That feeling quickly faded as Taehyung looked at you with a hard expression, one that you'd never seen on him before, and the fact that he was looking at you that way made you feel small.
He let out something that sounded like a mix between a dry chuckle and a scoff.
"I don't feel the same, so it's best that you just move on." He responded, coldly before stepping out of the classroom.
Your face dropped, as did your heart. You could feel a dull ache in your chest growing stronger by the second. You hadn't expected him to respond that way. He was always so nice, but his whole attitude changed once you confessed to him.

Unfortunately, you didn't have time to wallow in sadness, as a loud crash resonated from somewhere down the hallway, catching your attention.

"Seriously? This is literally the worst time." You groaned to yourself, sticking your head out into the hallway.
You let out a quiet gasp as you saw a guy dressed in a dark outfit, a black cape billowing behind him. He had on a black mask, a fedora, and carried a round handle cane with him.
You quickly hid yourself as your kwami appeared.
"You know what to do." You whispered.
You were then transformed into your hero persona, Snow Cat.

Stepping out into the hallway, you announced your presence.
"Hey! Brooding guy. What's your deal?"
The man turned around, glaring harshly at you.
"Who are you?"
"The person who's gonna stop you." You answered.
"Good luck trying."
"You have no clue who you're dealing with." You hissed, lunging for the villain.
Just as you were about to tackle him to the ground, he disappeared in a puff of black smoke. You coughed, waving away the cloudy fumes.
"That was pathetic." The man chuckled, now standing a few feet away in a completely different spot.
"I was just warming up." You said, the palms of your hands feeling cool as your powers manifested. In mere seconds, you sent an icy blast towards villain, hitting him square in the chest.
He was thrust backwards into the lockers by the impact, falling to the tile floor with a grunt.
"Serves you right." You huffed, dusting your hands off.
