The New Year's holidays passed by in the flash. Xu Feng spent a couple of weeks leisurely relaxing in his hometown, spending time with his parents and their relatives. The New Year was meant to recharge one's energy and reconnect with family, and he did just that.
When the holidays officially ended, he returned to Shanghai. The flat was once again cold and empty; Gong Jun had already gone up to Qingdao.
He would join him after a while, but first he had some meetings to attend to.
On the 12th was his birthday, and his fan club always held a small celebration for him. Much as he would have liked to spend his birthday with his boyfriend, it wouldn't do to disappoint his fans who have supported him over the years.
There was cake, presents and flowers. To his happy surprise, a large bouquet in dark blue wrapping arrived, bound by a ribbon which bore the words "Beast".

The <Advanced Bravely> shippers in the fan club went wild. They knew who was the high-profile ambassador of Beast. Even though Xu Feng declined to read out the message on the card, it was enough to put two and two together.
Xu Feng smiled as he posed with the bouquet. It meant a lot to him that his little boyfriend sent an open declaration of love while they were apart. Of course, these subtle interactions were candy to their <Advanced Bravely> fans.
His little lover was exceedingly busy. Apart from filming in location in Qingdao, Gong Jun had to go up to Beijing to record a segment for the CCTV Lantern Festival, run off to Changsha to record <Hello Saturday>, and at the end of the month he has to go to Hainan for a L'Oreal commercial shoot.
Only after Gong Jun settled back down in Qingdao would Xu Feng fly in to join him.
Xu Feng was looking forward to their reunion. The three days in Shanghai had been too brief. Truly, they spend more time apart than together.
On Valentine's Day he opened his Weibo and saw Gong Jun's new endorsement, Hogan. He recalled when Gong Jun had been perturbed about taking this endorsement because of the preceding ambassador. He had fretted about it until he finally received Yang Yang's assurance that it was okay. Yang Yang's one-year contract ended normally, this freed up his schedule to take other work as well.
That night during their video call, Xu Feng talked to Gong Jun about it.
"The editorials look great, Junjun." Xu Feng said. "Really refreshing and just in time for spring. How did yesterday's recording go?"
Gong Jun settled down on the bed and carefully applied a sheet mask on his face. "There were so many stars. I sang together with Li Yifeng-laoshi and Du Jiang-laoshi. Du Jiang-laoshi is also Han-ge's friend, so we talked about him. For some reason, our song <The Fatherland Never Forgets> had a space theme. So I said Yang Yang-laoshi should have the sung this song instead. And Du-laoshi said that he plays basketball with Yang-laoshi and Han-ge."
