Gong Jun frowned in concentration as he bent his head to listen to the director. They were finally wrapping up <Rising With The Wind> in the next few days, so the tension was palpable.
Nobody said anything, but they were secretly looking forward to leaving Qingdao and the oppressive pandemic regulations. It wasn't that they blamed the local government for the restrictions; they knew that it was a necessary inconvenience to protect the general population. But they were deathly afraid that a tiny slip-up would be blown up and turned into a scandal.
Although any publicity was good publicity, the same cannot be said for pandemic related matters. In such troubling times, no news was good news, especially what the drama went through last month.

Gong Jun glanced over the modern skyline of Qingdao; he would be frankly glad to get out this city. Because of the cyber-bullying he had experienced last month, he had sour memories of Qingdao, even though he knew that the city did nothing wrong. That was the crux of the matter; even though nobody did anything wrong, internet opinion had decided otherwise.
He had mixed feelings about Qingdao. On one hand, he was proud of the drama which he had filmed here, and he had a wonderful "European" date with Xu Feng. On the other hand.....
Gong Jun shook his head, wanting to shake the bad thoughts out of his head and fill himself with positivity instead. He should leave the city with pride at what he had accomplished here. Perhaps if he came back again, it would feel more welcoming to him.
He glanced at the ubiquitous Tsingtao Beer advertisements with the handsome super idol spokesman. Yang Yang beckoned at him, inspiring him to do his best and join him at the top of the celebrity ranks.

Yang Yang was on a roll these days. Tencent had recently announced the broadcast of not one, but two of his dramas in April. He was raking in the endorsements left right and center, and hit the hot search everyday for <Glory of the Special Forces>. This is despite not surfacing at all in real life.
Gong Jun aspired to be like him; this man can trend just by breathing.
The Glico commercial which caused so much drama was released, and so was some advertisement for cat food. Gong Jun chuckled when he saw that; of course he knew who the ad referred to.
