Your POV
I wiped the sweat off of my forehead as I threw the last rag into a bin. We had just closed up shop and finished cleaning, so I went to the back to pick up my stuff.

My back and feet ached so bad, I couldn't wait to get home and soak in a nice, hot bath.

I sighed as I grabbed my things, but that sigh turned into a choke as I saw what was on my phone.

37 missed calls from: Giyu
23 new messages from: Giyu

Feeling guilty, I opened up his messages.

Messages:

Giyu:
Call me when you see this.

Giyu:
At least tell me where you are...

Giyu:
(Y/n), please answer me...
I'm getting worried.

Giyu:
(Y/n)?

Giyu:
I don't know who else I
can call...

Giyu:
Please come home soon, I
really miss you.

Giyu:
:(

Giyu:
Sorry, was that weird? I
think it was weird, sorry.

Giyu:
(Y/n), I've called you 12 times
already...are you ignoring me?

Giyu:
Am I in trouble?

Giyu:
I'm really sorry if I hurt you,
though, I'm not sure if I did.

Giyu:
However, if I did, I am truly
sorry. I would like to tell you
all of this in person, so
please come home soon.

Giyu:
I assume that you are upset
with me, so I guess I'll leave
you be...

Giyu:
I'm sorry.

Giyu:
I still love you with
everything I have.

Giyu:
Promise.

Giyu:
Sorry to text again, but
when will you be coming
home?

Giyu:
You're not at the hospital,
are you?

Giyu:
Are you at least safe?

Giyu:
Please call me soon...

Giyu:
You weren't taken from me
again...right?

Giyu:
...

Giyu:
Should I call for help?

...
Oh my god, please tell me he didn't call the police.

I hurriedly dialed his number and without it even ringing a millisecond, he picked up.

"(Y/n)! Are you okay!?" He sounded exasperated. Almost like he had been paying around for 4 hours.

"Giyu, I'm fine! Mitsuri just needed some help at work, she was all alone and was hit hard. I'm on my way home right now." I tried to calm him down.

I could feel the anxiety radiating through the lines as guilt coursed through my veins.

"I'm really sorry," I said, "I should have sent a message...it just didn't cross my mind..." I slung my bag over my shoulder and pushed the door open, stepping outside and locking the cafe up.

"Should I come to get you? I don't know if I feel comfortable with you being alone..."

"Giyu, I'll be fine. Really, I'm sure I can get home safe. I'm already halfway to the subway.

"No, I'm going to call a taxi for you. I don't want you in the subway station this late at night."

"Giyu-"
