Also, there were houses with different spirits walking around. How much time passed?

I gulped as I walked forward.

Spirits saw me and walked toward me.

"You smell so pure." One said.

"Come, God is looking for you." Another pulled at my arms.

I followed behind them as they lead me to a Manor. It was definitely the Palace of this place.

As I got close, I saw a familiar face. Well, actually a couple. The Dwarf Goddess, Elf God, and Mei all talking.

I spoke up.

"Hey."

They all turned and saw me.

The Elf God and Drawf God's eyes grew.

Mei rushed over immediately.

"Stop disappearing!" She yelled as she put her arms around me.

"Sorry about that. It wasn't my choice." I said.

"You...are you Rank 10?" The Elf God asked.

I looked over at him.

I nodded.

"All I'll say for now is that some Spirit trapped me for a while until I reached it," I said. "Now..." I turned to the Dwarf Goddess. "Let's go see how your wife is doing."

She nodded slowly as she walked in. Was she unsure of what to think of me?

We walked into a bedroom where I saw her condition.

The Spirit God was over her. He seemed to be healing her.

When he saw me, he raised a brow.

"Later," I said as I walked up to her and placed my palm on her forehead. "Where's Jason?" I asked as I poured energy into her body.

"He's researching medicine to heal her poisons."

I hummed out loud.

"I can wake her up," I said. "I can keep her awake and feeling healthy for around 2 weeks..." I slowly got quieter as I suppressed as much poison as I could. Almost immediately she was waking up.

I stepped back to let the Dwarf Goddess get close.

She turned to me.

"Thank you." She said with tears in her eyes.

I dropped down to my knees.

"I never once blamed you for what you did that day," I said. "Protecting your loved ones comes first."

She looked down ashamed.

"Here." I reached out my hand to hand her a condensed energy pearl. "When you leave, if-"

I was cut off by her leaping forward and hugging me.

I was so caught off guard.

Unknown memory's flooded my brain.

------------

"How could you do this!" The voice sounded so betrayed.

Eyes peeked around the corner and saw a small Dwarf woman getting kicked by a grown man.

The Dwarf woman flew and slammed into a wall.

"Fuck you. As you said, I'm a Devil."

Red eyes made eye contact with the small eyes.

--------

I came back.

Was that Valentino?

The Dwarf Goddess looked at me and tilted her head.

"Is something the matter?" She asked.

My mouth grew very dry as I opened my mouth.

"No...no everything's fine."

I stood and turned around.

Ha...

That was most definitely Valintino. What the hell?

I clenched my hands as I left the room and came face to face with Jason.

I stepped back instinctively.

"Kobe!" He came forward and into his embrace I went.

More memories flooded my brain.

------------

Memories of an old man dying played like a movie. A fireball shot from the side and my eyesight filled with light. Black.

The eyes opened again.

Cage.

They looked around and made eye contact with a Researcher.

------------

The memory ended with him letting go of me.

I looked into Jason's eyes and I saw it. It was like he could tell I saw it too.

He wanted to say something, but I stopped him with a shake of my head.

"Later," I said as I moved away.

I passed a corner and went into a random room.

The room looked like it had been unused for a long while. I went over and got under a blanket and fell asleep. I would come up with a solution after I woke up.

When I awoke, I heard birds chirping outside the window. I moved and got up to see that it was early morning.

I turned my head and saw Mei passed out on a couch across the room. She must have found me.

I changed clothes and got ready for the day. I left the room while Mei slept to see that the Palace was still dark.

It seems it was still quite early.

I roamed the halls as I thought about my future. What should I do after all of this?

I paused at a window.

Before all of this, I wanted to go back to earth. After all, it's all I knew. Now, I didn't even look like how used to. It was almost like I was a whole new person...I clenched the window seal as I looked out at the sun just beginning to rise.

"What are thinking about?" I turned my head to see Jason.

"The future," I said. "Im not sure what I want to do after all of this is over with."

"You could..." He paused. "I mean...if you wanted to..." He trailed off.

I smiled a placed my palm on his cheek.

He looked into my eyes and smiled.

"Yea," I said softly. "Let's talk more after the war, okay?"

He nodded.

I dropped my hand and thought about the Drawf Goddesses' wife.

"Tell me, can you cure her?" I asked.

He shook his head.

"Not enough time. I'd need at least a month."

I turned away and sighed.

"Seems that's the only option," I said.

"You're up early." I heard behind us.

I turned my head and saw the Spirit God walking down the hallway.

"Can you keep a soul in a body?" I asked.

"Talking about the White Guu?" He asked.

"Yea." I nodded. "What do you think? Can you do it?"

"Technically I'm a soul and so is every spirit. We just don't have a physical body." He said. "So hypothetically, yes."

"Not good enough," I said.

"Why?" He asked.
