You were at the Anime shop of Striaton City, a hidden corner store only fujioshis, otakus, And weebs knew of. Being a huge fan of Fairy Tail yourself you had to get the newest addition of manga when it shipped in every month.
You reached for the last copy of the latest addition when you felt another's fingers brush over your own. Your face flushed red. HUMAN INTERACTION! CODE RED CODE RED!!! Was one side of it but the other was OMG THIS IS THAT LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT STEREOTYPE!!! IM GOING TO MEET MY TRUE LOVE!!!
You looked to your right to see the familiar green-topped boy with a flushed face as well. You both dropped the book and scooted backwards in that cliche anime way.
"Eh? Cilan! You're a Fairy Tail fan?!"
He blinked and then grinned.
"Of course I am! A thrilling adventure of friendship and magic is always a recipe for a successful manga!"
OH MY GOD HE LIKES ANIME!!! That's it! Cilan is your new Husbando. Sorry Gajeel go kiss Levy. You grinned too. You reached for the book but he did at the same time.
"Uh, gym leader priority?"
He smiled sheepishly and you scoffed.
"Yeah right. I'm a way bigger fan."
You saw people gather around you. They knew what was coming. Cilan cocked an eyebrow.
"Really? You think you like Fairy Tail more than me."
"It's a fact, Cilan. I can beat you in any fan war."
He pursed his lips together and you heard 'oohs' from the crowd.
"Fact war."
The shop owner went in between you two like a referee. He took out a big book of facts. Fairy Tail 101. You had your own copy. But at the look of Cilan's smirk he also did. The gym leader was known to be obsessive and an extreme fanboy. But you weren't a fangirl for nothing.
"What was Guildmaster Hades's real name?"
Child's play. You and Cilan yelled it out at the same time, causing you to stare in eachother's eyes. A millisecond before answering, this would be intense. What? I ain't spoiling Fairy Tail! Watch it yourself!
"Zanchrow was a part of what guild?"
Again, you both answered instantly at the same time. You could tell the crowd of weebs around you And Cilan were on the edge of their seats.
"Last question. The hardest. In what order we're the dragon slayers introduced?"
You began listing names and Cilan called them out at the same time as you. You got the same questions right. The store owner closed the book and cursed underneath his breath. You and Cilan gave eachother a puzzled look.
"So..."
"Who gets the book? I should, since I own the gym and have watched much more anime."
"No way! I need it!"
"Hey, I know. One of us buys it and lends it to the other after reading. How's that?"
It's Cilan, of course he knows a peaceful answer. He's Cilan. And your new crush OMG.
"Alright, but I'm buying and you're borrowing. My collection needs this copy. You can get yours next week."
"Deal."
You shook on it and grinned. The crowd cheered as you paid for the book. Cilan got a little booklet of stickers for himself. You walked out of the shop together and you accompanied him to the resteraunt. You hid your Adues, until you had to go the resteraunt the next morning to give him the book.
