Dear Diary,
It seems as though those extraterrestrials aren't planning on staying out of our damned business.
Thor told Fury and the rest of the council that Loki will be facing many, many years in Asgardian prisons in order to pay what he rightfully owes regarding everything he caused in The City, despite the fact that he refuses to accept the blame.
Loki says it wasn't his idea- bullshit. Who else could have come up with something so unimaginably insane and diabolical? He says there was, indeed, someone else but he can't say anything more about it. Whatever, he was always a compulsive liar anyway.
I also heard that Loki disguised himself as me... what the Hell? What is even going on?
Either way, Asgard was under attack- or, at least, Thor and Loki and some woman named Jane Foster were being hunted because they had something that these beings called Dark Elves wanted. Christ, I had no idea that any of these beings actually existed outside of the comics Bucky and I read all those years ago... It never even crossed my mind that I might know someone, a demigod, mind you, who encountered them regularly!
Well, in the end, it all ended up okay for most of them... Loki died, though, not that he'll be missed by any of the rest of us. Oh, and the Elves went away, so that's good, too.
That's not to say, though, that beings like them won't be back to do things far worse. I never thought I'd have to worry about stuff like this, things so supernatural and out of reach... but here I am.
And, how better to face it... than all alone?
