Jake's POV

Sitting in my room, enjoying the quiet nature of the world around me, I decided that unpacking my bag could wait. My stomach was starting to take over.

Jake: "I need something to eat before I do anything. I might unpack later when I get back. What time is it now?"

As I checked the time on the clock hanging from the wall above the couch behind me, noticing it was already 7:30 pm. I landed here in London only two hours ago and needed a shower and too get changed before anything. What I wasn't expecting though was to set a bath and just soak, let about 28 hours of travelling to soak off of my body as I just simply enjoyed being on solid ground.

Jake: "Getting late already, well not really but still, might be nice to go find a nice restaurant or so for dinner."

I changed into a nice pair of blue jeans as well as my plain grey T-shirt and my custom fading red and blue jacket. I really liked it because in one way it looked like the two colours blended perfectly, in other ways it looked like the two colours were in a pattern. Seeing the blue on one side gently fade to the red. I really liked it. With a pair of sneakers on, I grabbed the keys to the apartment I was staying in, well hotel like apartment, and headed out for a walk towards London Proper. It was a short half an hour walk as I began making my way closer to the opposite side of the bridge leading to big Ben and parliament house. I wonder if politics here was as big of a shit show like it is back home? With my phone in hand, needing a British sim card while I was here as well I better not forget about that, I walked over the bridge, crossing the river Thames as I couldn't help but notice how dirty it was. I mean I wouldn't expect it to be crystal clear but uh... Its brown?

Jake: "Hopefully just a pipe burst somewhere."

Walking into the city streets, I noticed a few bars, a few light restaurants but nothing that was really catching my eye. I kept walking along, for maybe another 25 minutes on top before noticing a lit up dome, a few of them actually, lining a railing that separated a walk way and on the other side of the walk way was the river. I knew they would set up something here, prime spot for tourists... And guess what I am.

Jake: "Looks good."

I walked over and noticed a sign as I got closer, "Coppa Club" it looked pretty peaceful and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. As I tried to find the entrance, getting a little confused, one of the waiters spotted me and helped me out. Leading me to the entrance and then politely to my own table, but before I sat down.

Waiter: "Wait I must ask, are you a tourist by chance?"

Jake: "I was trying to be subtle haha is it that obvious?"

Waiter: "Not at all sir. I only ask as I have a pod available, over here."

Walking over to the pod I was directed to, I honestly couldn't help but let out a sigh as it looked beautifully decorated as it lit up with the faery lights. It was rather spectacular.

Waiter: "That look on your face right now. Is the reason we try to keep one free for tourists visiting London. And it's why I love my job."

Jake: "This is incredible thank you."

Waiter: "Not at all. Here is a menu, myself or another waiter will be with you shortly."

Jake: "Thanks again mate."

As he bowed his head, I couldn't help but look up and down the river Thames, the lamps along the barricades illuminating the rather aesthetically pleasing stone work and surrounding buildings. As well as Tower Bridge being lit up was incredible to see. I had to physically pull myself from my surroundings to see the menu. While browsing and deciding on that club burger, without the pickles of course. I noticed another pod was occupied and filled to capacity with a group of Eight all sitting around the table talking and laughing, another table just inside with five people enjoying themselves and another pod filled with six. I felt a little alone here but I'm in a new country so I guess I should have expected as much. As I looked around and waited for someone to come back and take my order, I marvelled at how lucky I was tonight.
