New Zealand's POV:

Where am I? I looked around. This was not my bedroom. I was in a grassy field. This felt familiar.

"Aotearoa!" I heard a voice come from the other side of the field, over the hill. Maori? That can't right. Unless...

"Maori!" I shout back.

"Aotearoa! Awhina!" She cried (Help!). I ran over to her voice, but I couldn't see her until I made it to the top of the hill. The view was beautiful. But now I could see the problem.

My sister was being taken by someone familiar. Netherlands? I wanted to save her but I was frozen in fear. I could only watch. Suddenly someone ran over to her. It was a bit of blur but I couldn't make out who it was.

"KA MA TE!!" He yelled as he knocked Netherlands over. Maori escaped his grasp but before the other boy could get away, Netherlands grabbed him by the wrist. The boy bit him hard on the hand. I could see Netherlands push him to the ground. Small drips of blood fell from his hand.

I looked at the boy for a split second. He looked identical to Maori. The boy tried to get up but Netherlands kicked him in the stomach. The boy was lying on the ground gripping his stomach.

"OMA!" He yelled to Maori (RUN!). Maori did as she was told and ran away. Leaving only the boy Netherlands. Netherlands picked up the boy by the wrist and looked him in the eyes. Maintaining eye contact he grabbed the boys other wrist.

I watched as the boy's flag changed. His skin had turned white. When it was over, Netherlands let go of the boy. But, he didn't. He just sat on the ground looking at his arms.

"Come on," Netherlands said sternly and the boy stood up. Maori came running up to him but was stopped by two others. My brothers, Malaysia and Fiji.

"AOTEAROA!" She cried as she watched him being dragged off. Wait! The boy was me!

Aotearoa dropped a piece of paper before he was completely gone. Maori broke free of Malaysia and Fiji and picked up the piece of paper.

"He will be back," Fiji said as he looked at the paper. It was a photo with two little words written on the back,"

"One day,".

I woke up in cold sweat. Australia ran into my room.

"Kiwi! Are you okay? What's wrong?" He asked. It took a moment to realise I was screaming 'NOOO!' at the top of my lungs. I stopped screaming and looked at Aussie.

"I'm okay. Just a dream," He looked at me with concern.

"Must have been a bad one Mate. You woke everyone in the house," Aussie joked.

"Sorry," I looked around the room. It was dimly lit by the moonlight streaming through the window. UK came into the room shortly after.

"New Zealand, what's wrong?" UK asked.

"Just a dream," I gave the same response to him. He didn't look too pleased with my answer. He placed his hand on my forehead again.

"I think you're getting worse," He said sounding slightly worried. Australia touched my forehead aswell.

"Kiwi, you're almost as hot as my summers. Are you sure you are alright?" I looked down at my wrist.

"I don't know anymore," I muttered, hoping no one would hear.

"Did you want to talk about it?" UK asked. Australia seemed to have the same thing on his mind.

"Yeah," I said.

Maori's POV:

We tried to make a plan. It sucks. Fiji claims to be good at navigation but, he kept getting lost. Malaysia was complaining the whole way. It has been years since I had seen Aotearoa but, according to Fiji, he has moved on. I hope not.

"Are we there yet?" Malaysia moaned.

"Not yet!" Fiji replied.

"You suck at this," Malaysia commented.

"You know what! I'm trying my best but, it's hard to navigate when you're half-blind!" Fiji snapped.

"Then take the stupid eyepatch off,"

"Oh, that's it!" Fiji jumped on Malaysia and started fighting.

"Get up, both of you!" I shouted. It got their attention for all of 2 seconds before they started fighting again. Malaysia pulled Fiji's eyepatch off and held it above his head.

"HEY! Give it back!" Fiji shouted as he covered his eye with his hand. I snatched the eyepatch out Malaysia's hand and handed it back to Fiji. He grabbed it and put it back on. I forgot how self-conscious he was of his scar.

It was getting dark so went set up camp for the night. We were in the middle of a forest. Malaysia looked annoyed. It had been almost 15 years since Aotearoa's disappearance and Malaysia kept saying that he was probably dead. I hope that's not true.

As I lay down I started thinking about everything that had happened since then. Several years after Aotearoa left, I met a woman named France. She was nice but, I didn't like her that much. She left as soon as she came.

And then there was UK. I didn't like him at all. He would trade with me often and then one day he forced me to sign a treaty. The treaty would give him full custody of Aotearoa but, I didn't have much of a choice. He promised me the safe return of my brother. He still trades with me and each time he comes he has an excuse for not returning my little Kiwi.

"Hey, guys! The stars are out!" Fiji said interrupting my thoughts. I looked up, sure enough, the stars were out. I could no longer see the southern cross in the sky. We must be very far away from home now.

"Can we just go to sleep," Malaysia yawned.

"Why?" Fiji asked trying to annoy him.

"So we can go home faster,"

"Why would you want to go home? It's great here. Unless you're missing your boyfriend," Fiji replied smugly.

"Indo is not my boyfriend! And if you bring this up again I will burn your eyepatch and give you a bigger scar!" Malaysia said angrily.

"Jeez, I'm sorry,"

"Good now go to sleep,". Malaysia and Fiji didn't get along very well. Good thing we don't live together anymore. We still catch up but Malaysia likes to hang out with his other friends, Philipines and Indonesia. Fiji just likes to annoy everyone he meets and he spends a lot of time play rugby. Whereas I, I just stay at home tending to the land and animals. Aotearoa used to help me with the animals and I would help him with the plants.

I miss Aotearoa.
