Maori's POV:

All America had done since he got here was mess things up. His biggest mistake yet was discovering my musket. I was already pissed at him, but he kept up his ignorance by asking foolish questions.

"Well? What did he exchange it for?" America asked repeatedly.

"That is none of your business!" I growled at him. It achieved nothing.

"I didn't know Dad dealt with individuals like you, why?" He inquired. That was not the healthiest thing to mention.

"Individuals like me? If you keep going like that, I will demonstrate to you how that musket works," I warned. I could detect a portion of dread in his eyes. That was enough for me, at least. I know that fear is not the finest approach to lead, but it functions effectively.

"Both of you need to stay silent if you demand to hide from UK, I can only keep you here for so long," I growled at them before spinning around to escape the shed.

"Wait, we are out of food," America mentioned in an unsteady voice before I went. I wasn't an unpleasant person.

"I will be back with some snacks if you boys co-operate, okay?" I murmured.

"Okay," Australia and America both answered in unison.

I closed the shed door behind me and turned, trudging back to the house. I should've grabbed the musket out of the shed, but it didn't cross my mind until I stepped inside. I couldn't be bothered taking it now. I would take it when I top them up on snacks again. We can count on them until then. Right?

I hoped so, for their own security. If UK found out I was protecting his children, he would go back on the deal. I learned he would anyhow, but any hope was better than none. I started making more snacks for the guys when I heard someone knock on the door. I felt uneasy knowing the probabilities of who could be at the door.

I pretended not to hear it at first, but the knocking was resolute and irritating. If I had turned the lights off beforehand, I could have played it off as if I wasn't home. I gathered my spirit and stepped towards the front door. I held my breath as I opened the door.

I let out an annoyed sigh of relief as I saw Fiji standing there at the door waiting. He had his arms crossed like an annoyed 5-year-old.

"Took you long enough," He mumbled as he just sauntered in. I locked the door behind him and let out a weak sigh. I had gotten myself hyped up for nobody. I wandered over to my little brother who had made his way to the kitchen and was studying at the plate of snacks I had brought together.

"Who are these for? You never make stuff for me," He moaned a little.

"Don't touch them, and why are you here?" I asked, pulling his hands away from the snacks.

"I just wanted to let you know that UK is searching around here and there for something, and boy is he pissed," Fiji chuckled awkwardly, lying down on an armchair nearby.

"No cursing," I responded. That wasn't the only sole factor that troubled me though.

"You look a little stressed, is something wrong?"

New Zealand's POV:

Canada walked outside to meet who I was speaking to. Antarctica almost jumped back into the bush when he heard Nada's tone. He left me sitting there awkwardly next to the virtually empty plate of cookies.

"Were you speaking to someone?" He suggested.

"Um, no," I replied as indifferently as I could.

"Oh, I thought I heard another voice, I suppose it was just you hogging the cookies," He laughed slyly. This was the most he had spoken to me in a while.

I glanced down at the ground, uncertain of how to counter him. I might have just forgotten how to talk or had a brain fart, but I could find the words to talk to him.

"Hmm, hey, I just wanted to say I'm sorry about avoiding you," He murmured. I was not predicting that. I still didn't know how to answer, but I tried to be friendly and show him while he was talking.

"well, uh you see, I, uh, have been seeing this dream, and I was anxious you could get hur-" Canada cut off by the sound of Antarctica's sneeze. Canada looked at me curiously and then went over to the bush Antarctica had concealed in.

"Are you sure you weren't talking to anybody?" Canada asked again. I felt uneasy, like my biggest secret was about to be exposed. I bent my head, trying to continue the lie out of instinct.

Canada removed the branches back while standing between the bush and me. I could hear a slight gasp escape Nada's lips as he saw Antarctica crouched in the bushes. I could sense Nada's confusion. I covered his mouth before he could say anything. In hindsight, that would have seemed dubious.

"Say nothing," I mumbled. Nada nodded his head, and I let him go. His face showed a mixture of worry and sheer bewilderment. Antarctica crawled out of the bushes and sheltered behind me while peering up at Canada curiously.

"Is he my other brother too?" Antarctica whispered to me. I knew Canada heard.

"Did. Did you adopt this kid as your brother?" Canada stuttered. I nodded my head affirmatively.

"Zea, you can't just invite children into our house like that," Canada expressed in a judgemental sounding tone.

"Why not? He requires a family," I sought to reason.

"You just can't," Nada argued back.

"I did the same thing with Malaysia, why not with Antarctica?" I proposed.

"It doesn't mean anything, what you did with your early family, that is not how family works," Canada seemed to get stressed out.

"I don't care what you say, Family is Family, and I decided Antarctica is my little brother, and I will protect him!" I shouted.

"You will protect who, now?" Spain claimed. I looked up at her. Antarctica was still hiding behind me.
