Maori's POV:

"Crap! He is already here," I muttered angrily to myself as I hid behind a curtain in the lounge. I tried to hold my breath to not draw any attention.

I held the treaty close to my chest along with the file on Kiwi. I had broken into UK's house, hoping to find Aotearoa here, but he wasn't, so I used my time to grab the important files. But UK came back before I could leave.

"I know you are in here!!" UK shouted. I felt a shiver go down my spine. I could hear him stomping around the house. I just wish I had loaded the musket beforehand. Yes, I was prepared to shoot him.

I hated him with every bone in my body. Everything didn't just go downhill when I met him, everything was kicked off a cliff and landed on sharp rocks then torn apart by snakes with knives.

"Come out now!" He shouted. There was the same cruelty in his voice as the first time I met him.

I'm pretty sure he didn't know it was me. I kind of felt better about that.

Suddenly, I heard his loud footsteps approach the curtain I was hiding behind. Holding my breath was not doing it. I was counting down the seconds until he whipped back the curtain. But he didn't. I was a little confused until I felt something clamp around my wrist. I panicked and looked down to see UK's hand clamping the metal cuffs.

"You thought you could get away with this again?" He laughed cruelly. He yanked me out from my hiding spot and I dropped the musket and papers.

"Let me go!" I shouted in a desperate attempt to get away.

"That's cute, but I don't take kindly to people stealing my documents, let alone my son's documents," He explained calmly.

"He is not your son!" I shouted.

"And according to the treaty, he isn't your brother," He snapped.

"You got your stupid treaty back now let me go!" I argued.

"Hmm, no, you have noticed that I am missing a few sons and I have a war that needs to be fought," I didn't like where he was going with this.

It only took a second for him to start dragging me down the cell stairs. I fought back, but he was larger than me and overpowered me completely.

"The more you keep fighting, the more pleasure I take in your helplessness." UK sighed.

We were at the bottom of the stairs now and he dragged me over to a small water pipe and locked me to the other end. Then he just left me there. He made sure to slam the door for dramatic effect, leaving me in the dark.

I tried to break the chains, but they strained on my wrist. I made as much sound as I could, trying to alert anyone passing by. The door opened again and UK made his way down the stairs. He was holding something.

A bowl. A dog bowl. It was filled with cold baked beans and he placed it in a way that I could see it, but not reach it. He looked me in the eyes.

"Be as loud as you want, no one would rescue you, even if they saw you," He smiled darkly.

He was right.

Tuvalu's POV:

I didn't like them calling me a baby just because I was little. But they were pretty fun to hang out with. As the car drove along, they shared jokes and stupid stories about each other getting hit by buses.

I didn't say anything. I knew they were fighting, but they all seemed so happy doing it. Eventually, the car came to a stop.

"This is where you get off Tuvalu," Sweden smiled.

He undid the seat belt and helped me out of the car. I stood in front of the community centre. At least I knew my way back from here. I waved goodbye and they drove off.

Before I went back to Phil's place, where everyone else was, I decided to go inside the community centre. There were a few others wandering around trading for food and resources.

The community centre was a place where everyone in the community could trade away their catches from hunting or fishing as well as the fruit and vegetables others collected. There is also a section for items like rope and nets. There was a fresh array of meats and fruits and I was getting hungry.

I checked my pockets for something I could trade away. I found a small shell and a piece of string. As I kept searching, I noticed something red. I picked it out. It looked like a small brick. It could be valuable. I walked over to a small table where a few fresh fruits lay.

"What do you want for the banana?" I asked.

"What do you have?" He smiled kindly. I liked humans. They were always so friendly.

I placed the string, shell and red plastic brick on the table. I know it wasn't much, but he examined what I offered and picked up the shell and string.

"I don't know what that is, but I'll leave it with you," He said, pushing the brick back over to me. I placed it in my pocket and he gave me the banana.

I know they usually only trade food for either other food or rope, but I guess he was just being kind as I had nothing more to give him.

"I'll bring him a nice big fish next time see him," I smiled happily to myself. I left the community centre and headed back to find the others.

Suddenly I felt myself being picked up from the ground and hugged tightly from behind.

"Dolphin!" I heard the cheery greeting of my big brother Tonga.

"Put me down!" I laughed as I wriggled out of his embrace. I turned back around to face him. He stood tall and proudly. I gave him a hug, this time we were both hugging.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked.

"I got a banana," I smiled, holding up my banana for him to see.

"Good thing you got one, I was getting hungry," He said playfully as he grabbed the banana out of my hand and pretended to eat.

"No! Give it back," I laughed as I tried to reach for it. He handed it back to me after he was done joking around.

"Hop on my back, Palau wants to know that you are safe," He said, turning around. I hopped on his back and he started walking around the other side of the community centre where I saw everyone waiting for me. I got the feeling that I may have done something wrong.
