Moving out

New Zealand's POV:

"WHAT!"

She can't take us away. What about Aussie? And America I guess. I was so confused as to why. Canada looked just as shock as I did. We were going to move out.

"W-why?" Canada asked.

"You two have been running off all over the place, so you two are going to live with me so I can keep an eye on you," France answered.

"But you have to go to work," I said.

"You two will come to work with me, that isn't a problem," She answered. She seemed to have an answer for everything and I was starting to think there was no way out of this.

"How long will we be living with you?" Canada asked. He didn't seem too upset about this.

"I'm not sure how long, but don't worry. You guys will be able to America and Australia almost every night for dinner," She smiled. I could see UK standing next to her with a death glare pointing in my direction. He didn't like this plan either.

It can't be all that bad, right? At least France won't hurt us and I will still get to Aussie.

"Now, go get your things, we are leaving now," She said. I nodded and so did Canada. I went upstairs to grab my stuff. As I opened the door I saw Aussie looking under my bed. I remembered my pictures and grabbed his legs to drag him out.

"Oh, hi Kiwi," He said awkwardly. He was holding a couple of my pictures that I had thrown under my bed.

"What are you doing?!" I shouted at him. I was not feeling positive today and this was not helping. I bet he had no idea what just happened.

"I was getting some ice cream and then I found these," He said with a guilty smile.

"Put them back!" I shouted at him. He did and finished getting his ice cream. He stood up awkwardly and handed me one.

"Is something wrong?" He asked as he unwrapped his ice cream.

"I'm moving out," I said. Aussie stood silently, he looked confused.

"Wha- why? Is this a joke?" He asked trying to wrap his head around it.

"No, Canada and I are moving in with France," I said again. Australia looked as if I was telling a joke and he was waiting for the punchline.

"What?" He said sadly when the realisation kicked in. I nodded to confirm what I said. He left the room without a word. He closed the door on his way out. I started gathering my stuff and shoved it into a small plastic bag I found in the bottom of one of my draws.

I head towards my door. It wouldn't open. I couldn't turn the handle. I knocked on the door but I heard nothing. I knocked again and still the same. I sat down on my bed and started thinking of what I could do. I could have jumped out the window again, and I was going to do that until I heard France shouting at Australia from the other side of the door.

France's POV:

I knew I was doing the right thing. They didn't argue much, I glad about that. The two of them ran upstairs to get their stuff, but only Canada came down. I waited for a few more moments. I could hear the slight sound of knocking coming from upstairs.

I decided to check it out. I found Australia sitting on a chair which he jammed under New Zealand's door handle. He must have found out. I should have known Australia was going to be difficult.

"Let him out," I said calmly. Australia refused and continued to sit on the chair.

"Australia, let him out or I will get your father!" I shouted at him.

"No! He is staying with me!" Australia argued back. I was getting annoyed and soon UK came upstairs asking what was going on. When he saw Australia, he didn't even try to reason. UK just grabbed his arm and pulled him off the chair. It seemed rather violent, but Australia was being stubborn.

I opened the door and saw New Zealand sitting on the bed. He had a plastic bag in his hand and he started walking towards the door. He looked down at Australia who was lying on the floor. New Zealand seemed sad to see his brother like that.

We walked out to the car. America and Australia standing at the front door waving their brothers goodbye. Australia seemed bitter though and went inside as soon as New Zealand closed his door. I kissed UK and waved.

I got in the front seat and looked in the rearview mirror to see Canada and New Zealand sitting in the back seat quietly. They both seemed quite and sad as we drove off. I felt kind of bad for them so I thought I could take them out for dinner tonight.

They didn't say anything for the whole trip. We arrived home and the boys got out. Inside, they knew already where they would be sleeping, at least now they wouldn't that to share. They stayed in their individual rooms while I called to make a reservation at a nice restaurant down the road.

About an hour passed and I had been working on some paperwork. I hadn't heard a single thing coming from the boys at all. I'm so used to go over to UK's house and hearing the chaos. New Zealand and Canada, however, were very quiet.

I went to check on the two of them. Canada was still unpacking his stuff. He looked at me and gave me a small smile and went back to what he was doing. New Zealand was sitting on the bed playing with a small toy ship. When he saw me, he quickly put the boat behind his back and looked embarrassed. I sat down next to him.

"Can I see your ship?" I asked. I thought I had better try and bind with him. I had tried in the past but his answers are bland. He handed me his ship. I asked him about it and he started talking. He seemed to know a lot about it and was in a better mood. I looked at the time.

"Get changed into something nice, we are going out for dinner," I said calmly. New Zealand nodded and smiled.
