~NOTES~
This is part 2 of 'She Isn't Responding'. You don't have to read part 1 first but it might make more sense if you do.

*TRIGGER WARNING* for non-explicit description of injury, blood and surgery. Enjoy :)

Liz's POV
"What's the situation so far?"

"We lost her before we even got in the ambulance."

"Do you think we can get her back?"

"Definately. Call someone for her."

"Check her vitals."

"Pull her files up, please."

"Name?"

"Elizabeth Egan Gillies. She's an actress. A talented one, at that."

"Oh yeah, from Dynasty."

"Let's stay on task, ladies."

"All her files are here. Holy shit, her emergency contact is Ariana Grande."

"Let's start the surgery."

"On it boss."

"I'll call Miss Grande."

I feel a sharp jab to my side, and nothing after that. I can sense people around me, hovering over me.

There's someone outside pacing the floor in high heels.

Suddenly, there's immense pain in my stomach.

"Crap!"

"What?"

"I got the wrong tissue. Need a gauze!"

"I'll get it."

"Thanks."

"That's a lot of blood."

"And it's important that we don't loose much more."

"Need more gauze?"

"No, I'll continue the surgery."

"Her pulse is very high."

"Steady increase?"

"Fluctuating."

"At a dangerous rate?"

"Not now, but it could become that way."

"Monitor it closely."

"It's falling back down so we should be okay."

I'm starting to feel more pain.

I just want a hug.

"We're nearly there."

"The drugs will wear off in the next six minutes."

"Get some more. Inject her other shoulder this time."

I feel something cold against my skin, and then something pouring through my veins until I can't feel anything.

"Her heart rate and pulse are all normal again."

Time seems to slow as I'm laying on the operating table and although I can't see, I can hear that it's nearly finished.

"I'm just going to stitch the wounds."

"You might want stronger stitches for her back."

"Clean the skin please."

I start drifting into sleep and moments later, my eyes shoot open.

I'm in a hospital bed with a doctor at my arm and Ariana holding my other hand.

"Oh my god, Liz!" Ari cries, smiling bravely through the tears as she hugs me.

"What happened?" I ask.

"You fainted and landed on a glass coffee table. The glass went into your back and arms but only severe damage was done to your stomach. We'll keep you here for a few days but you're healing just fine at the moment." The doctor smiles. "I'll tell the team you're awake." She says and walks out.

"I was so scared, Lizzy. I love you so so so much." Ariana cries, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I love you too, Dingus. I'm awake now, you can breathe." I smile.

"You were so brave in there!" Ariana says, wiping her eyes.

"Were you outside the room?" I ask.

"Yeah I was pacing so fast." She giggles.

"I know." I laugh and she looks confused. "Don't worry."

"God, I'm so glad you're okay." She says squeezing my hand.

"Me too." I say.

"Your Mom and Dad are on their way." Ari says.

"Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you." I say.

"I don't know what I'd do without you." She smiles.

"I'm really hungry." I say and she laughs.

"We'll order food when the doctor comes back. You probably don't want to eat hospital meals." She scrunches her nose up and I laugh.

"What about the dogs? If I'm here and they're at home...I can't leave them home for five days when I'm not there." I say, freaking out.

"Liz, it's okay. I called Elaine and gave her your spare key. She's taking care of them." Ari says stroking my hand.

"You're so amazing. Thank you." I say and she smiles. "Now where are those doctors? I'm starving."
