~NOTES~
Someone requested Liz fosters a teenage girl named Dakota and I hope this suffices. Enjoy :)

Dakota's POV
My social worker drops me off at my new foster parents house, Liz.

"Do you want drink and a snack, Dakota?" Liz asks.

"Water please." I say.

"Sure." Liz says, walking out to me with a glass of water.

"I assume you have questions for me." I say.

"What questions?" Liz asks, sitting on the couch.

"I'm always asked questions. 'What happened to you?' 'Where are your real parents?' 'What issues do you have?' All that shit." I shrug.

"Mind your language. I don't have any questions for you, this isn't an interrogation. I want you to feel comfortable and you don't need to share anything you don't want to." Liz says.

"Can I ask you questions then?" I ask.

"Of course." Liz says.

"What do you want with a kid like me?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" Liz asks.

"I'm a real pain in the ass and I'm far from the perfect child with pretty blonde hair and straight A's. I'm gonna piss you off." I say.

"What did I say about language?" Liz asks.

"See?" I smirk.

"No one's perfect, and I didn't choose to foster you because I thought you were perfect." Liz says.

"Why did you chose me?" I ask.

"Because you're interesting. I want to be the person lucky enough to be there for you." Liz smiles.

"I think you made the wrong choice." I stand up and walk upstairs.

I'm in the bedroom I'm staying in at Liz's house.

The door knocks and Liz walks in.

"What is that?" Liz asks, pointing to the vape in my hand.

"A gerbil." I say.

"Drop the sarcasm and give it to me." Liz says, holding out her hand.

"You can relax. I've done worse stuff than nicotine." I say, dropping the vape in her hand.

"Is this the only one?" Liz asks.

"It's the only blue raspberry one." I smirk.

"I'm taking it off you because I care, you know that." Liz says.

"Sure. And I guess you didn't do anything fun when you were my age." I say.

"I never did any drugs." Liz says.
