⚠️TW - Mention and description of vomit.⚠️

Liz's POV
I get home after an interview and the dogs run up to me.

"Hi babies." I smile, fussing them.

I walk into the living room and see Michael asleep on the couch.

I kiss his head and he feels cold so I cover him with a blanket.

I shower and change into leggings and one of Michael's big hoodies before going downstairs. I reply to a few emails and look over my script for tomorrow.

I feed the dogs and watch a movie.

When Michael still isn't awake after the movie finishes, I decide to wake him up.

I lie next to him on the couch and play with his hair.

"Honey." I kiss his cheek a few times.

"Mm." Michael groans.

"Baby, you feel really cold." I say, covering him with the blanket a little more.

"I'm hot." Michael murmurs.

"Are you still half asleep?" I ask laughing.

"Ow, Liz. Not so loud." Michael mutters, rubbing his head.

"Sorry." I apologise.

"I don't feel good." Michael says quietly.

"No?" I ask softly, running my fingers through his hair.

"No." Michael whispers.

"What's wrong, honey?" I ask.

"I feel like I'm hungover but I didn't drink at the bar at all last night." Michael says.

"Why didn't you drink?" I ask.

"Because I didn't feel well and now I feel even worse." Michael groans.

"Oh, sweetie. Let me look after you." I say softly, kissing his forehead.

"But it's my turn to make dinner." Michael whines.

"I will make us dinner. You need to stay here and relax." I say.

"Are you sure? Because I can-" I cut him off.

"Michael, I am making dinner. Period." I kiss his head again and cover him up with the blanket.

"I'm too hot." Michael murmurs.

"You're shivering." I point out.

"I know but I'm hot." Michael complains.

"Okay, whatever you say." I take the blanket off him. "Have you taken any medicine?"

"I had two of those fever pills and one of those nutrient tablets you're always taking." Michael says.

"Alright. Do you want a drink?" I ask.

"A water please." Michael yawns.

"I'm on it." I say before walking to the kitchen.

I feed the dogs and then pour Michael a glass of ice water. I take it out to the living room for him but see he's asleep.

I place the glass on the coffee table and go back to the kitchen, starting to meal prep.

Timeskip

A little after 8, I go into the living room to wake Michael up.

I crouch by the couch near his head and place my hand gently on his cheek.

"Babe, you should wake up and eat something." I whisper.

"What time is it?" Michael asks quietly.

"Nearly 8:15. You slept for about 3 hours." I tell him.
