83. Clashing Rain

Narrator.

Two powerful figure stand few meters away from one another, both of them held a blade that could potentially kill. The atmosphere was almost palpable and yet the two held a grin in their faces.

The ash haired teen didn't want to fight the raven rain guardian, in fact, she only hope that the two of them staring at one another would stall long enough for Kikyo to defeat Irie. But Yamamoto knew that he can't waste any more time as his precious friends are trying their best to defend, so why shouldn't he try his best to defeat her?

Yamamoto and Elias never had any conflict with one another and they especially didn't have any rivalry like how Gokudera would see Yamamoto as a rival. Many would consider them as birds in a same pod, due to their carefree demeanor.

The two of them never imagine in their wildest dreams that they would fight against one another, the two had a close senior-junior relationship. No one would expect that they will stand on the same arena in different team, yet here they stand, gazing at one another as they're about to battle against each other to dignify their own reason fight.

Vongola's rain guardian knew that he shouldn't waste any more time idling around and decided to launch his first move.

"I don't want to hurt you, Elias-sempai!"

Yamamoto spoke the moment their sword clashes at one another, Elias was on a defensive stance while Yamamoto kept a swift offensive blows. The two continue to exchange their blows, the sound of metal clashing was continuous, it almost look like they were dancing with their blade.

"I'm sorry Takeshi, but the only way for you to win this is to defeat me." Elias exhales, as jump back to gain some distance "if you do not have that resolve then, you cannot win against me."

Elias gracefully swung her sword in the air, as she pose for a defensive stance. After all, she's just wasting time so that Kikyo could defeat Irie.

"Why would you even side him!?" Yamamoto didn't spare a second to attack as he interrogate her.

"I told you already, he has Hari!" Yamamoto's attacks was nothing to Elias as she was able to deflect them witg ease "you wouldn't understand... all I wanted for her is to have a great future!"

Something inside Elias snap, as if she could not hold all of her pent up frustration. Her defensive stance has change into offense, forcing Yamamoto to optimise to a defensive form.

"I never wanted for her to be in danger!"

Clang!

"She stayed me the whole time!"

Cling! Clang!

"And staying with her at her weakest is the best thing I could do as her Boss -no, as her friend!"

Yamamoto was certainly no match for Elias, she was too strong and way more experienced than him when it came to a closecombat. Elias wasted no time to let Yamamoto give a second to think, as her sword slid against his, friction of their sword created a small flare that quickly dissipate into thin air, almost cutting through Yamamoto's eyes if he didn't pay attention.

Elias was clearly getting impatient, as her strike was clearly rush and unsophisticated from her usual graceful moves, perhaps, her emotions got the better of her and she's simply releasing all of her frustrations toward Yamamoto.

The male swordsman couldn't do anything but to defend himself at her every blow. At this point, the two wasn't having a hateful match but more like a confrontational match.

They didn't speak a single word to one another and let their sword do the talking for them. Each move they made was for a reason, causing for them to get a better understanding of one another.

Now that Yamamoto was able to talk to Elias, he now understands how Elias was feeling. She was the first one to be sent here, helpless and lost with no one to help until Byakuran caught her.

Elias's frustrations seem to seep over Yamamoto's emotions, as he was frustrated that he couldn't help Elias sooner, he surely decided to help her the moment the match is over, but for now he need to defeat her. Yamamoto harden his resolve to defeat Elias.

Booom!

A loud boom soon was heard from a distance, causing for the two to be distracted. Yamamoto quickly recovered from the loud noise, as he immediately attack Elias in her stomach, using the hilt of his sword.

Elias wasn't able to react in time, causing for her to take the heavy impact of Yamamoto's sword. Elias whispers few words before collapsing in the ground.

"I'm sorry..."

Her words felt like there was a deeper meaning to Yamamoto, but nevertheless, he completed his task of defeating their target.
