"You ready to go back to Daddy's house princess?"

I asked Kaileah as I helped her get dressed.

"I can't wait to get away from you."

She mumbled. I frowned as I grabbed her backpack and put it onto her shoulders. I just wanted my daughter to love me as much as I love her. I sighed as I heard a knock at the door.

"Let's go pumpkin."

I said as I picked Kaileah up. I opened the door to see Fergal standing on the doorstep.

"Daddy!"

Kaileah yelled as she jumped into Fergal's arms.

"Hey princess! Were you good for Mummy?"

"I miss Mommy. Please don't leave me here again."

Kai said as she buried her head into Fergal's shoulder.

"Can I talk to you real quick?"

I asked him as I crossed my arms across my chest.

"About?"

"Why did you tell Kaileah that Danielle is her Mom?"

"Because that's the only Mum she's ever known. You weren't around."

"Because I was sick."

"You tried to kill yourself Pam."

"Because I was at rock bottom. It's not like you helped me anyway."

"Because you pushed me away."

"Because I needed someone to tell me that I was going insane and help me get help. I couldn't do it on my own and I needed you. I needed you to smack me over the head and tell me to get it together. And that's what Colby did. But I wished it was you. I still love you so much Fergal Devitt. But you love Danielle. And I'm stuck with Colby."

I said as I looked up at him and Fergal looked at me with a blank stare.

"I know I shouldn't have told you that. I'll see you next weekend."

I said as tears fell down my face. I slammed the door and walked over to the couch and bawled my eyes out. Why am I so stupid?
