Mercy asked me as she handed me a plate of food.
"No. I'm so sick of being treated like a fool."
I sniffled.
"Don't let him get to you. You've gotta stop getting back with Colby and Fergal. Don't give them any more chances. They're fucking dumbasses. You need a man that will treat you amazingly and be an amazing father to that little baby girl because Fergal is not it. Fergal will never trust you. It's apparent. So find someone who does. And I have this friend who would be perfect for you. He's sweet and kind and the most amazing person ever. What do you say?"
Mercades asked. I sighed as I looked down at the floor. Should I move on? My heart says no but my brain says yes.
"I'll have to think about it. I can't just let any guy be around my baby girl. Just let me get over Fergal first and then maybe I'll be able to open my heart back open to guys. But I'm determined to get over Fergal just like he left me.
