Her flight almost exhausted her small body frame with completely nothing solid in her stomach. She never liked eating before and or during the flight at all, making her meet exhaustion a little bit faster, but she was quite used to it, and she was glad Sasori was there with her.

"I'm really glad you're here." She said, tired.
"Don't mention it."

It was 2 in the afternoon on a Monday, Sakura understood her dad is at work now, she wanted to visit, but she knew better than bothering a working man on the first day of the week.
"D'you want to go home?" Sasori politely asked.
"Yes, please."
"Come on, I got a cab for us."
"I see how excited you are to go home." Sakura teased.
"As much as your eyes wants to shut."
"They're open wide and alive, thank you very much." She hopped in the cab as soon as the cab driver and Sasori finishes storing their luggages in the trunk.

The cab was filled with silence until the driver turned the radio on, probably stopping the awkward silence. Sasori took it okay, and found this opportunity to at least have a casual talk with the pinkette.
"You nervous?" Sasori smiled knowingly.
"A bit." Sakura said, as if saving her breath.
"You're not much of a talker today, aren't you?" He grinned.

"My stomach's empty, Sasori." She snorted.
"Good, we'll drop this off with Mr. Musashi and I'll take you to lunch." He grabbed his phone and browse its contact in aim for calling the guy named Musashi.
"Who's Mr. Musashi?"
"Dad's personal assistant. He didn't want one before, but he's been stressed out, so I insisted he get one. And eventually, dad found him so that's pretty much it."
"How long has it been?"
"About 3 years ago, I think."
"How come you never mentioned that before?"

3 years ago, you were always spaced out. Still moving on, and I can't bring myself to talk about those, is what Sasori wanted to say, yet, "I forgot." was all he could say.

The cab dropped them off at the nearby bus stop Sasori specified and Musashie was already waiting.
"Welcome back, Mr. Sasori, Ms. Sakura."
Sakura couldn't help but wonder how he knew her name, but she didn't dwell on that thought any longer, she was famished and her stomach showed no shame in grumbling.
"Let's take care of that." Sasori chuckled.

"I want to take you at the Clermont Restaurant. I know you love the curry special there.. that is, of course, if it's okay with you." He hesitated.

Ah yes, Sakura thought. The first restaurant where he took me, where we negotiated. Quite ironic.
"I'm fine with it. If you're hesitating because it brings back memories, don't. I'm hungry anyway and I wouldn't careless." Sakura smiled it off, but Sasori knew better. He wanted her to move on, and he knew she haven't yet. The ache was there, but he was more than willing to help her, even if it means facing every memory she had with him.

"We'll take two curry special, one slice of blueberry cheesecake, strawberry parfait, lemon iced tea for her and just water for me." Sasori said in an instant to the blushing waitress who just took out her pen and paper and scribbles it down, obviously in awe of Sasori's formality and of course, his beautiful face. She left after repeating the order to Sasori, leaving us both alone with the two long tulips in the porcelain vase in the middle of the table.

"When will you let me take my order?" Sakura pouted.
"Oh, sorry, was there something you'd like to change or add? Reduce, even?" A smirk in his face was refusing to show.
Her lips trembled as she bit it, hesitating she said, "No. You got it all." And there was no lie about that. Sasori knew what she wanted, after all.
"I thought so." He grinned.

Out of nowhere while they waited for their order, a man stumbled towards Sakura, shocking her momentarily.
"Damn," the man said under his breath, "Sorry miss- wait- Sakura?"

"S-sai." Sakura stood and threw her arms around his neck, hugging him almost to death. And Sasori, somehow, did not like the view very much.
"What are you doing here?"
"Er, meeting with someone."
"Oh by the way, I presume you know Sasori."
"Yes, it's nice seeing you." Sai acknowledged, and so did Sasori.

"So, who are you meeting with?"
"Ino.. I mean.. Ms. Yamanaka." There was a bit of irritation after hearing her name, but she scratched the thought away.
"She told me she'll offer me another project, so yes, I'm here, but I'm supposed to go now after she sent me a message saying it's for her wedding."
"Why not?"
"I just don't want to."
"Why? You don't like seeing her get married?" Sakura teased.
"Sakura!" Sai scolded.

Sakura kept her burst from laughing, seeing Ino entering the restaurant, looking for someone and Sai wanted to enter the table below to hide.

"Where is Sai?" Sakura read her lips. The blonde was dragging someone inside, and suddenly, all the trace of humor was gone. Her smile faded instantly.

It was him.

"Sakura." Sasori spoke her name softly, he had seen him too, and he was worried.

Sakura didn't want to admit it, but the urge to cry and slap him in the face was there. She didn't want to know the reason why he had left her, but she did anyway, is it because of her? She didn't know, she wasn't sure but it was a good enough reason to leave her hanging.

Accidentally, Ino had met her eyes and so they went to their direction, Sasori suddenly held her hand with no explanation and it was a good time for Sai to escape the other way around.
"S-Sakura, is it?" Ino greeted. "It's been, wow, a while." She couldn't help but see the change since she last saw her. Her face, and her body. Last time she was just a plain secretary. "And you are..?" She switched her eyes to the redhead.
"Sasori." He offered a hand which Ino was gladly to take. Sasori directed his look at the man behind, "Sasuke. It's been a long while too."

"Indeed." His voice was low, unwelcoming as ever.

Sakura held her breath, hell, she couldn't bring herself to look at him.

"Would you like to join us for dinner?" the blonde offered. Her smile was dazzling and Sakura couldn't help but feel envious. She was nothing compared to it. A little thought came to her that Sasuke might have fallen for that.
Before she could even refuse politely, Sasori went ahead. "Thank you for your offer, but we will be leaving. It had been a long flight, and Sakura needs rest."
"Flight from where exactly?"
"From US, we lived there for 4 years."
"Wow, welcome back then. Good for you two."

Sasori called in the same waitress and asked for the bill and go take the food out instead.
"It's nice seeing you two." Sasori gripped Sakura's hand tight and passed thd two of them. "Congratulations on your wedding too." He breathed as he passed the raven and out of the restaurant.

Sasori felt offended, not because he didn't respond, but because the raven kept stealing glances at the cherry blossom that Monday evening.
