Y/n's pov

       Another episode occurred, I locked myself in my bathroom when it happened, the room was steamed up so it can help me breath easier.

       Once I was done, I unlocked the door and left the bathroom. I ran my fingers through my tangled up hair, 'why did this happen to me?' I asked myself 'I already have enough problems,'

Flashback

       School just ended and I was heading home, a strange looking woman came up to me "where are you going darling?" she asked "I'm sorry, I don't talk to strangers," I said and started walking away but a pale hand grabbed my arm, "you don't talk to the Queen of Gotham like that sweet cheeks," said the most wanted man.

       I felt something poking into my neck and I instantly blacked out.

Flashback over

       I still remember some things that Joker and Harley and I did together. Stealing, holding hostages, basically anything illegal. I remember how Dad found and fixed me.

Flashback

       "Y/n, this isn't you," Batman said, I held a child of 4 over the edge of a building, "oh sure," I said sarcastically "as if you know anything about me!" I growled "I do know you," said Batman "your name is Y/n M/n Wayne, you're 16 years old, your father is Bruce Wayne, Y/n, come home with me, you'll be able to see how much everybody in your family misses you," Batman said "just take my hand and bring the child away from the edge, you never had the guts to see blood or face anything that requires medical attention," I looked back at the child, he was crying, "do you promise that?" I asked "I promise," Batman said, he offered me his hand and I slowly took it.

Flashback over

       My episodes occur a lot, I didn't explain what my episodes are did I? my episodes are me laughing hysterically and it's a sickening laugh.

       I think it's because of the Joker and Harley why I have my episodes. I kinda remember what they gave me when I was still their 'child'

Flashback(this is the last flashback)

       "Harley! Y/n won't take her meds!" Joker whined, I ran away from your 'father' as he chased after I with a needle in hand, my 'mother' gently grabbed you "now, now Spades, time to take your meds," Harley said sweetly "you've done this before, it's swift and fast," I nodded and let 'father' inject me with the needle.

Flashback over

       I think it's that liquid that's been causing them. I heard knocking on my door causing me to jump "w-who is it?" I asked "it's me," said Dick, I walked over to my door and opened it to find Dick and Barbara.

       Ever since Dick and I got together she's been tearing me down, abusing me physically and mentally.

       "I know you and Barbara don't get along all that well but can you please try," Dick said when he saw my look, Barbara snorted while I glared at her, "Prefer sa vorbesc fără ea aici,"(I rather talk without her here) I said crossing my arms "fine," Dick said "Babs?" Barbara glared at me and she left.

       "Can I come in?" Dick asked, I moved aside so he can come in "you alright?" he asked softly "face mă uit bine la tine?" (do I look alright to you?) I asked, Dick pulled me in for a hug, "nu, nu, spune-mi ce sa întâmplat. Nu pot să stau fără să știu ce sa întâmplat," (no, you don't, tell me what's wrong. I can't stand not knowing what's wrong) said Dick "te rog, spune-mi, poate te pot ajuta," (please, tell me, maybe I can help) Dick pleaded "a scăpa de acea fată egoistă, nebună, abuziv departe de mine, Richard," (get rid of that selfish, insane, abusive girl away from me, Richard) I said "abuziv? când ea te-a rănit vreodată Y/n?" (abusive? when has she ever hurt you Y/n?) Dick asked "încă de când am ajuns împreună. Ea ma tinut in pericol, ea ma rănit fizic și mental. Ea ma sperie," (ever since we got together. She kept threatening me, she hurt me physically and mentally. She scares me) I whispered "Dick, I can't stay in the same building with her," I whispered "I have to get away," Dick tightened his grip on me "don't worry, Y/n, I promise you, she will never hurt you again," Dick promised "wait here, don't go anywhere, lock the door until I come back," Dick ordered, I nodded and he left.

       I did just what he told me to do.

Dick's pov

       I marched straight into the Batcave, I found Barbara with Bruce "Barbara Gordon, we need to talk," I growled, Barbara turned to face me, "what? You finally figured out that girl that you're dating is worthless?" Barbara asked, Bruce instantly stood up, "no," I said "you abused her, Barbara, not just physically, but mentally too," I said "how dare you hurt her? How dare you treat her like that? How dare you break her?!" I growled "I am warning you now, Barbara, make one more move like that again I will become your worse nightmare," I growled and left.

       Once I left the Batcave I immediately forced myself to calm down. I took a deep breath and went back to Y/n's bedroom and once I did I heard sickening laughing, they sound just like Y/n's. I heard a door opening meaning she went inside her bathroom.

       I started banging on the door "Y/n! Open the door!" I said, I heard the door unlocking and Y/n open the door, "are you alright?" I immediately asked "how much did you hear?" she asked "I heard laughter, cold and sickening laughter," I said "Dick, ever since Dad found me I've been having....... episodes I guess you can call it that," Y/n said "what do you mean by episodes?" I asked "at some point during the day I'll laugh for no reason, that sweet and adorable laugh is gone and is replaced by the sickening laughing," said Y/n "it used to occur during the night but now it's occurring at anytime," Y/n said "why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked "I mean, I just yelled at Barbara, who I'm pretty sure is getting punished by your dad, but know this, Y/n, you mean the world to me and I can't lose you," I said, I gently grabbed her shoulders, "I can never lose you," I said, I kissed her softly yet the kiss is very passionate.

       "Promit că nu mă va părăsi?" (promise me you won't leave me?) she asked "niciodată, și vă promit, Barbara nu te va răni niciodată," (never and I promise you, Barbara will never hurt you again) I said "never again," I said hugging her.

I never meant for you to hate Barbara. I was inspired to write this one shot because of a book that another fanfiction writer wrote, it's called Painted On With Laughter, I'll like to warn you, that book is emotional and it is kinda scary but it's a good book. Vote, comment and request!
