Y/n's pov

       I giggled and hid behind a tree while Terry frantically looked for me "Y/n! Stop hiding! Your father is going to be mad!" Terry said, I giggled again and threw myself on top of Terry's back, "I'm right here, Terry!" I said cheerfully, Terry huffed, "Y/n, get off of my back now," Terry said "but why?" I asked "because your father is going to be mad at you if you don't go back home," Terry said, I got off his back and Terry grabbed my hand, "come on, we need to go now," he said and dragged me back home.

Now

       Terry always been the worry one while I wasn't, I was actually kinda carefree. Once in awhile Terry will always have to keep me from getting injured from something stupid. My 16 name day(birthday and for those who get this reference, I love you) is coming up really soon....... I dread that day because it's when I'll meet my future husband Prince Edward(ha! yes I did people!) the maids hurried and finished my last minute preparations, they gasped "oh, my lady, you look absolutely beautiful!" Kiko said clapping her hands together "yes, very stunning," Clara agreed "there is no way Prince Edward will dare reject you," said Cleo, Prince Edward isn't what I'm worrying about, it's Terry, when we were younger, we spoke about getting married sometimes until we found out about our different social classes cut us from getting married. 

       Ser Henry Loriz escorted me to the throne room. Prince Edward's eyes immediately landed on me, he gave me a charming smile that any lady will fall in love with, but not me, never me, I've seen how Edward treats others, I don't want to marry him. 

       Ser Henry left me once I sat down on my throne, 'back straight, chin up, legs crossed and act like a lady,' Mother's voice echoed in my head and I did just that, "my, my, my," said King Frederick "your daughter is more lovelier than I had thought," "I agree with you, Father," said Edward "I will be happy to wed your daughter," "I know my beloved daughter agrees," said Father, oh Father, I do not agree, "I'll like to spend some time with my betroth," said Edward, he offered me his hand, "shall we?" he asked, I took his hand and we left for the gardens.

        "My father isn't wrong," said Edward "you are a very beautiful girl," "thank you, your grace," I said softly, Edward stopped, "you do not need to call me that," Edward said, he gently brushed his knuckle against my cheek making me stiffen a bit, "I will take good care of you, Princess Y/n," said Edward "very, good care of you," after spending some time with Edward, I quickly fled to the place where Terry and I always spend time together. 

       I found Terry already there, a smudge of mud is on his cheek, I sighed, "Terry, you have a smudge of mud on your cheek," I said with a giggle, Terry reached up to where the mud is and wiped it off, "huh, I didn't notice that," said Terry, he noticed my look and asked "what's wrong?" "you heard about my betrothal have you not?" I asked, Terry gently took my hand, "I have," he said softly, I buried my face into his chest, "I don't want to marry him, Terry, I want you," I said, Terry looked shocked, "y-you want me?" he asked "yes," I said looking up at him "Terry, you're my childhood friend, as years passed by I found myself loving you more than a friend," I said "Y/n," Terry said "it's not going to work, we're not going to work, as much as I want it to happen but it won't," said Terry "I'm sorry," I pressed my cheek to his chest, "but it doesn't mean I won't try," I looked up at him in shock, "run away with me," he said "run away and we can forget our lives here. Your name wouldn't be 'Princess Y/n' it'll be Y/n McGinnis," said Terry "run away and we'll be free," "but what about my father?" I asked "if we're caught he'll have you hanged," I said "I don't want that to happen," I said "what's more important to you?" Terry asked "loyalty or love?" his lips aren't that far away from mine, "love," I said and his lips are on mine. 

       Terry called in a lot of favors, I didn't know he had that many favors people owed him. Several knights helped me sneak out, "are you sure this is worth it?" I asked "we're sure, Princess," said Ser Bran "go, live in peace," said Ser Rickon "thank you," I said, I pulled my hood up and fled, Terry immediately helped me up on the stead and then, we left. 

       The city disappeared, I can smell the fresh country air, I smiled to myself and leaned back into Terry's chest. Love is important, it's very important.
